that'll be our last pre season friendly i reckon, something tells me i remember clark saying he doesnt want a friendly in the midweek before the first game of the season

wouldn't it have been beneficial for the new players to play in front of a bigger galpharm crowd than the 3000 or so that'll be there for the coventry game? i'm all for building fitness against lower league sides, but to only play one side that are higher than us is a bit suprising

it's not uncommon-we normally only have 1 game against a team from the leagues above, occasionally 2 if its part of a transfer clause or something like the centenary game last season, or someones testimonial

Looks to me like 1st August was ear marked for a big side, maybe Newcastle with Wrexham a second choice
Seems to have been a tradition that we have a big match on Yorkshire Day and what with us now promoting ourselves as the Yorkshire club I doubt they would have gone for Wrexham to mark the day!

11 preseason matches! think we'll be knackered when it gets round to competition.. i really think if we are the fittest team in the league, it will give us a huge advantage over the rest of the teams.. Well done Clarky
