Im only posting this as ive been told by a young player from sheff Utd that Beckford has been at their training ground for past 2 days and in return leeds are to get Billy Sharp plus £1million.
He also suggested Michael Collins is on SU radar.
This is not cast iron - just it wasnt a silly windup merchant telling me this.
time will only tell!

i think i'd be more bothered about losing collins than not getting sharp - i dont think we have much chance of getting him when Sheff united want beckford.
Just hope we can keep hold of Collins

I imagine Collins has been on many Championship clubs radars last season - a lower league Frank Lampard.

I may get shot down for this, but personally I would be very disappointed to see MC leave the club.
With AK next to him in the centre, I'm sure we will certainly benefit from this better next season.
We have a suitable replacement waiting in young James Berrett but if we are going to get out of this lousy division next season than the 10-15 goals I'm confident that MC will contribute will be invaluable.
The squads shaping nicely.

Not to doubt the rumour or anything but why would a young Sheffield United player still be hanging around the training ground? Aren't all the players on holiday still? Or do the young kids not get time off?

The squads shaping nicely. My theory with Collins has always been if he has strong players around him, he is a good player to have as his timing is impeccable. Hopefully Kay will boss it enough to allow Michael to do the things he does well. Unlike this season where sometimes we have needed him to grind teams down with the others - thats not his game.

Exactly nobody in our squad possesses the devastating forward bursts from central midfield coupled with his generally excellent finishing. If he can work on his strength and play with better forwards then the sky is the limit for Collins. And he will prove his doubters completely and utterly wrong. Which they are by the way

Or do the young kids not get time off? hes at apprentice level so could be there on his education stuff - i can only presume. i dont for 1 minute see this being 100% true but it seemed too informed to not mention. like most things in football - seeing is beleiving
