I guess there is kind of a link with Clark's Norwich past and us being linked with every player in the Coca Cola League. I can't see him wanting to drop a division just for his former assistant manager when there is another Championship club apparently interested. Unless this is just all paper talk and neither clubs are interested

Would not be suprised if Coleman and Clark (who I think are mates from there Fulham days) have a gentlemans agreement that we don't go after Clingan provided Cov play ball with us on Simpson End of the day we may not get Clingan but if we bid it could make the deal a lot more expensive for Cov to get him

Surely the only reason to be interested in Clingan would be that Clark was going to play Kay at CB?

But Clark mentioned Kay as being part of a strong spine of the team with Clarke, Kay and Simpson part of that spine so it suggests he is going to play Kay in the midfield
If this Clingan interest is serious, suggests to me that Collins is on the way even though Clingan is complete opposite to Collins

Surely the only reason to be interested in Clingan would be that Clark was going to play Kay at CB? Kay seemed to think he was playing in midfield on the OS interview... We've been linked with Blizzard as well. Either Clark is offloading Craney and/or flynn and/or Goodwin or else perhaps he's planning on playing 451/433 with 2 holding midfielders and Collins bombing on.

OC & HRN I hear what you both are saying - Clingan is a very good player, especially at this level, but he is certainly not an attacking CM. Our strengths are down the wings, so could he want to play 451 - all this, of course, is dependent on the fact the article is not bollocks!

Clingan is not coming, end of! We don't really need him anyway and he'll be going to a championship side.

Yeah, we'd have to pay over a Mill.
He won't come, and I doubt we're seriously interested. He's a very very good player though.
