Obviously this wouldn't be most people's ideal front two but i think they would work well together.
Both young and desperate to prove themselves, both quick and very hardworking in that they never let the defenders rest and both have shown whilst in non league that they know where the net is.
Certainly a massive improvement on Parker and Jevons anyway

As much as i'd like to agree offside, both very promising players, but we can't judge them to be better than Parker and Jevons just yet. But i can't wait to see them pair up in pre season to see if how they fare.

Based on what? Have you actually seen either of them play together or even play? We have no idea who the best partnership is, yet. We haven't even started pre-season training yet.

I have seen Simpson play for Coventry against Newcastle in the carling cup when it was on sky last season but thats it. Not seen much of Novak apart from a few clips online.
Just feel they could work well together

We will know on August 8th.
Still feel even if we sign Simpson we need 1 or 2 more strikers.

I think that pre-season could unwrap a huge surprise as there is nothing to say that Simpson/Novak together or separately in combination with either Jevo or Kiegs could be the magic formula.
I know Kiegs/Jevo have had poor seasons, but football (to coin a classic phrase is a "funny old game").
I for one will be watching ALL 4 strikers with interest.

We can't afford anymore strikers with jevons/parker/denton on the books?! Surely we need rid before someone else can join.
Maybe Parker still has a role to play alongside a hard working simpson? ?

Certainly a massive improvement on Parker and Jevons anyway I'm not saying I doubt your comment but how quick are they both? With Roberts, Ainsworth and Pilkinton plus them two, we could be immense going forward this year. The movement could be incredible.

Well we were told Parker was quick but he wasn't so im not entirely sure.
Novak apparently looks fairly quick but not rapid. Simpson is quite similar i think, not blistering but certainly no slouch

At the moment, I consider Novak our only striker and no disrespect to him I don't want him to lead or strike force until he has more league experience and proved he can cut it. Simpson signs and he will be leading with Novak partnering - I'd still want at least another.

Lee clarks said in an interview that novak was destroying our defence when he was training with us last season, he said he already looked really strong and more than capable.
I think they would work together Simpson and Parker could be interesting, but still rather see someone new as well. Still need at least one new rb

From what Coventry and Cambridge fans are saying about this lad it would seem he works his socks off and gets stuck in, he looks a decent finisher also. Just like jemima and Parker !!
not.

Watch out for another striker arriving!
I base this suggestion on Dean Hoyle's reaction at the pre match meeting in Stockport. When someone asked Nigel Clibbens if a striker would be signed in the summer, Dean's instant comment to Nigel was "Two!".
Novak and Simpson are relatively inexperienced, and Town's other signings 'down the spine' are aged 27, and both are described as being 'tough physically and mentally'.
Town's management team have not showered such praise on Jeavons or Parker, and have indicated each is available to leave, so, because strikers cost more(!), I think the next forward signed will be our most expensive summer signing!

Simpson and Novak together... Who knows.. Only thing I do know is that they both like to link play. When you have 2 strikers wanting to do the same thing they can often tred on each others toes so I guess if they are the front 2 we'll need to be patient and let them work up an understanding which will take a good few months.
and Clark didn't say Novak was "destroying our defence in training" - his exact quote was "Novak didn't look out of place in training" and that was all.

We will have to see what unfolds but we do need another striker to give us plenty of options, we need strength in depth and that cant include Jemima and penelope !!

So, basically he is as bad as Jevons and Parker? Great! No not at all. Parker and Jevo look out of their depth in training Clark has said that Novak is a player of potential and to not expect too much too soon and by the tone of his voice he sounded to be quietly impressed when he said it yet understated it perhaps so that people don't build him up too soon and expect too much - but you had to kind of read between the lines a bit...

I notice in that article, it mentions we were after Glenn Murray. I haven't seen that rumor before.
