I Love Huddersfield Town, Can't wait to see Robbie Simpson in action to be honest, IMO he could be Booth's replacement, hopefully slightly better goal ratio though, I fully believe this guy will score atleast 20 goals for us next season, our promotion season! Happy with all 3 signings so far, just need a good, solid right back and another striker I think, maybe a striker with a bit of pace. If the worst comes to the worst we can just loan a couple of good youngsters from the Prem, i'm sure Clark has his contacts. The only thing that worries me slightly is the fact that our defence is still pretty slow, in fact it's as slow as it was last season, so maybe with a quick right back who can cover we won't get caught out so often. Also, I hope that our defence has enough aerial ability. Apart from the defence though and the other things that I have mentioned I think we have a good enough team to earn promotion, need to give berret a chance this season too, i think him and Tom clarke could be really promising in DM for us this year. 3 more quality signings and I would be delighted! ;D

2 more signings are a must!
Right Back Striker
I also feel we could get another striker, midfielder if Craney/FLynn leave and another Centre-Back unless Lucketti stays.

Yeah, a right back is the priority, but another striker and a tall or fast (or tall and fast ) centre back!

We don't need another CB, we have 4 already. Only two will start. I feel we need a right back and another striker to increase competition. I feel Jevons + Parker will be gone by the time of the new season.

Ideally another striker (hopefully a natural goal scorer maybe a bit more experienced). A right back, and Martin Kelly.
Would also like us to shift one of Craney or Flynn, Lucketti and at least one of Parker and Jevons if not both.

A right back and another striker are musts. I also think we need a central midfielder. Preferably a versatile one who can play a forward role or a holding role. Its one thing having loads on the books , which we have, but I wouldn't want 4 of them playing (Craney,Flynn,Goodwin,Tom Clarke) unless it was absolutely necessary. That only leaves Collins, Kay and berret so I'd like to see another one.
Tom Clarkes been given a new deal which surprised me but if we can get any or all of Flynn, goodwin,Craney,Parker,Jevons and Lucketti off the wage bill then i think Clark would jump at the chance as i don't think he rates any of them ( as I don't)

I'm really struggling to see why everyone's getting so excited about the fella? Clark obviously sees something in him, but didn't he "see something" in Werling and Jutkiewicz?

Personally it's because of what the Coventry/Cambridge supporters have being saying on there boards that have grabbed my attention about Simpson.
As a rough guess for every one who says they are not bothered he's gone another 6 or 7 are saying good things about him.
Were a pretty honest lot on here when visiting supporters ask us about former players so use that as a guide to judge other boards. Even WACCOE once you get past the first half a dozen f*ck off posts can actually get a sensible debate going.

I'm really struggling to see why everyone's getting so excited about the fella? Clark obviously sees something in him, but didn't he "see something" in Werling and Jutkiewicz? I'm basing it on the fact that Simpson has been quite a regular at Coventry, and if he gets into their first team on occasions, playing out of position then he muct be very good in that position. And if that is not his strongest position (which it isn't), then he MUST be better in his stronger position, making him a good player! I have also watched him play quite a few times and my ex girlfriend who supports Coventry rates him very highly, as do many Cov fans. The fact that Clark also said that he has been reccomended to him by many people also suggests he isn't shit. I understand that trhe signing of Lukas wasn't the best, but really that was not Lee Clark's fault, he can only be blamed for not getting the best out of him. Lukas will never be a crap footballer, and on that basis - he should have been a great signing for us. Clark cannot control Lukas's attitude or work ethic, that is impossible.

I dont know why alot of people are wanting rid of Flynn. I think if played in the middle where he should be we will se alot more from him I would have him as the attacking midfielder sat in behind the front 2.

Wasn't it Flynn who produced the neatest piece of football seen at Leeds Road last season. (The cross for Boothy's headed goal against Carlisle was so inch perfect that I reckon most of us might have had a chance of putting it in - I'm sure I could see Boothy's eyes light up from my seat half way up the K.B. as the cross came over!!)
I didn't rate him early on but when he got a (very few) chances towards the end of the season he looked a different player - hopefully the influence of the new management team?

Think you're being very kind on him there. When he got back in the side a few times towards the end of the season ,he didn't look any better than he had before to me, and that was on the poor side of average. Ok, he does the occassional thing well but in terms of his overall, general play, i just think hes a League 2 standard player. Same as the others on my list, bar goodwin who's a middling L1 player. Flynns best game by far was early in the season when he partnered Worthington in the middle against Sheffield united. Never reached anything like that level again IMO. All in all another rank poor Turnip signing IMO.

I agree Kersh, I think Flynn would be an ideal attacking midfielder, IMO if he had started as many games as Micky Collins last season he would have had more goals than said Irishman finished with.
