i would have to say i think/hope they will be a another striker coming in so that would leave just the right back position to fill maybe a lb to provide more comp for williams/skarz.
i hoped kelly would come for the season on loan but after reading the article on him im now unsure if we will get him. so does any1 know of any good young rb / lb in the leagues at the moment?
eardeley would be a good young player with alot of potential but will we win the race to sign him as it seems theres a few chasing and if someone like cardiff/swansea went for him i think they would almost certainly get him.

Would be pretty happy with Graham alongside Simpson to be honest, we've got the pace of Roberts, Pilks, Collins and Ainsworth bombing on forward, so don't think we need a striker with blistering pace. We just need them to be able to hold the ball up effectively and get on the end of crosses to put the ball home.
But I agree, we definetely need another striker, think Tehoue is a bit of a gamble, so I'd like to see someone else, whether thats Graham or not we'll have to wait and see.

RB is the priority. Also another striker.
After that, it all depends on who leaves. 2 minimum, 4 maximum in from now I reckon. Then use loans to plug the gaps for injuries and bad performance until January.

Right Back, 2 strikers. I've said it since January we needed a centre back a centre midfielder and 2 or 3 strikers and now it is finally happening ;D

The moment we sign a right back I will really start believing this season is going to be a great one. It's not the only signing we need but I dont want Tom Clarke, Goodwin or Collins having to play there.

Looking increasingly like it won't be Graham, the Examiner reports today that he is off Town's radar. It alsa says that the signings spree shows no sign of slowing down, so i have a sneaking suspicion we will be seeing another striker (perhaps 2) and a right-back.

Johnson would be a good signing but i would say we still need someone with a bit experience. Johnson, Novak and Simpson (to an extent) are quite inexperienced within league football

Definitely a right back and (no dig at Simpson because I'm pleased with the signing) a striker who's been prolific recently at this level or above. Lambert would be my preference.

Agreed - I think based on the fact we were after him in Jan as well would suggest that it would have happened by now as I can't imagine what the hold up could be

Do you not think lambert and Simpson are similar Style players? Would they be able to play well together?

I personally think they are exactly the same style players and it wouldn't be ideal to play them together for me?

Not sure if they are the same. Lambert is more flick ons and holding up the ball. Simpson more pacey.
Could be the new boothy and jeppo.

Since we signed 9 players last Summer when DH was not even Chairman yet - not sure why any one would think we would only sign three or four this summer?
Especially since it was obvious to everyone we needed a big improvement to even challenge the top six from where we have been for the last three seasons.
Anyway - i reckon (in order of priority), regardless of whether we can move anyone on or not:
Rightback Striker Striker
Then if we can somehow shift the likes of Craney/Flynn/Jevons/Parker/Glennon on this Summer:
Centreback Central Midfielder Leftback
And our squad will be starting to take shape ;D

In an ideal world we would sign: a right back another league experienced striker a defensively rigid left back
in that order... the left back would only be in an ideal world - the striker and right back are a must

Kelly doesn't come: New rb - Eardley Striker - Oli Johnson Anyone else is a bonus really. Put them straight in the first team.. Then a couple of potential superstars: Leigh Griffiths Ryan Bennet (If butler goes) Possibly Danny Pilkington Obv if Kelly comes then dont go for eardley
GK - Smithies RB - Eardley / Kelly LB - Williams CB - P Clarke CB - N Clarke RW - Ainsworth LW - Pilko CM - Collins CM - Kay ST - Simpson ST - Johnosn
Subs 1 - Glennon 2 - Butler / Bennet 3 - T Clarke 4 - Berret 5 - Roberts (means he'll work harder if he's on bench- get pre-christmas form back hopefully) 6 - Novak 7 - Griffiths
