How much of this lad do we think we'll see next season? I've been very impressed with him in pretty much every game he's played for Town but I just can't see how he's going to get near the starting 11. Should we be looking to loan him out for a few months to get some first team experience or keep him as a bench warmer?

i think he's the dark horse for next season.. i can see him becoming a key mamber by the end of the season. I think he'll just have to be patient on the bench at the start though.. and wait for his chance to shine

I think he's got to find his best position. Obviously he's a central midfielder but is he an attacking player or defensive?
If he wants to be attacking he's got to add goals to his game. If he wants to be defensive he needs to be stronger in the tackle and better at tracking players.
The lads got massive potential though, and I'm sure he'll be a regular within a couple of years.

The lad has got bags of potential, but I would rather see a more assured and experienced midfield next season (Kay, Collins, Goodwin etc). A loan move to a League 1 or League 2 side wouldn't go amiss, so long as we included a recall clause.

Upon him signing a new 2 year contract Clark commented how he sees Berrett's role this season as being very important. Quite how he'll fit in remains to be seen.

Don't think Clark really has any other choice than to start with that. I think towards the end of last season when we had nothing to play for, we should've started Berrett in a few games tho. Could've given him some more first team experience. He's def one for the future.

I think alot depends on what happens with Flynn and Crainey. He could easliy be a massive part of the match day squad, but not a first-teamer week in week out.

I expect Berrett and Tom Clarke to be on the bench for most games next season.

i think Berrett will be a key player for town next season, he will be able to learn alot from Clark and i expect them to have a very good relationship. Clark will probably see Berrett as a younger version of himself so will push him all the way

Kay could be the perfect partner for Berrett next season.
He likes to sit back and has a very good pass on him and his reading of the game is excellent. Kay is tough in the tackle and can put himself about and he also has a very good goalscoring record
He needs to be given a chance though, I don't think loaning him out will improve him

Maybe i'm the only one then that doesn't particularly rate him. He is very one paced and can get dominated against any player with muscle. He isn't a great passer of the ball, he plays wonderful sideways passes and looks technically correct but i've yet to see him make an impact on the game.
As much as Collins frustrates sometimes, he has that 'gift' of changing a game. Kay and Collins as a starting point for me but still feel with all the central midfield players we have signed over the previous season, its our weakest area behind strikers!

I think Berrett will play and important role next season and don't think he will be loaned out. His versatility and especially with seven on the bench he is a must in the match day eighteen.
Personally I would rather see him involved in games rather than the likes of flynn and craney (if they are still here) as I think Berrett is someone who can develop and go on and play at a higher level and take us where we want to go where as I think Flynn has found his level at League One mid table and think Craney is below that level.

Clark thinks very highly of Berrett & see`s him in towns long term plans & thinks he has a good football future ahead of him but says he need to have abit more belief in his own ability cos Clark can see it.

I can see him featuring in away games where we may be tempted to play 4-5-1. Not a first choice though.
