Iam not going to say either way wether we are going to sign this Superb player or not. However i thought this might be worth some consideration, If as some threads say on hear we will sign him for 1M and have also agreed to pay his Coaching badges, Look at the poss. If the Future of the club is Novak and Simpson then who better to learn off than a goal scoring machine in Phillips and if he has the correct guidance in the way of gaining his coaching badges, Then think of what this will do to the valuations of the 2x young lads, If they learn and get the coaching off phillips and there valuations go up 3x poss 4x in the case of Novak then the 1M price tag of Phillips will nearly have paid for its self, And when you add to that, The fact the Promotion with Phillips in the side this coming Year would look all that more realistic. I am starting to think that looking at the long term plans of the club this signing would not be so unrealistic. What do you think? UTT ;D

I don't think that it would cost £1m to sign Phillips. If Birmingham let him go then it will be because they dont need him. He has one year left on his contract and is getting on a bit, it wouldn't surprise me if they give him away (or he costs very little).
The expensive bit will be his wages. I think we should sign him for whatever the price though (as long as its within our budget). We haven't spent very much so far on players so £10k a week could possibly be within our budget.

If we were to get Phillips i doubt a fee would be involved and certianly not one as high as a million. However i think it would cost us at least £1million in wages over two seasons.

We'd be mad to pay any kind of fee for Philips however good a player he is.
