Apparently we have had a bid rejected or him, I think people are well out on who we are after this, this really shows ambition IMO!

What a load of rubbish! They've just been promoted to the Championship, why would they sell one of their best players to a team in a division from which they've just got out of?

They aren't selling him hence rejecting the bid. Town, if it is true, were probably just testing the waters to see where Posh stood

That's why they rejected it, multi million pound bid too Multi-million? Do we have some mysterious sugar daddy that no-one knows about? Be realistic, it's very unlikely for us to spend more than £500k on one player, let alone £1m+.

The same reason why Man U would sell Ronaldo. Except Ronaldo's transfer fee is absolutely insane, and much more than what he's worth. And ManUre are at a similar level to Madrid, unlike Town and Posh.

It's in a local Peterborough paper. I did say apparently too.

And I am sure CMS would rather be having Pic-nics on Castle Hill than in Peterboro ;D

It's in a local Peterborough paper. I did say apparently too. I've now seen the story, and never said such a bid wasn't made, I merely stated that I would find it most unlikely that Town could afford to even think about a £1m+ offer, let alone make one.

What would it matter to Peterborough the division the bid came from? Id have thought they'd prefer it not to be from a championship club but ultimately they won't care. Its whether they think the bid is enough. A £million from us is the same to them as a £million from ,say, Bolton.

It does say "apparently" as we are the only ones with the financial clout so it looks a pretty big assumption. Don't the likes of Charlton, Leeds or Norwich have any clout???
I'd be surpised if Clark would spend millions on him when there are plenty of good strikers for less??

Don't think so. they're skint. Thats why they appointed Gunn as manager- cos he was cheap and already at the club working in the merchandising area, and haven't sacked him yet despite him being a total disaster. Theres talk of some MEGA wealthy businessman buying the club but delia and the others don't want to sell.

absolute nonsence. why would we want him anyway? several million pounds (if we had it) would be better spent on experienced proven forwards to bring on the likes of novak, simpson and denton. i reckon clark knows this and its just silly paper talk. kevin phillips (or someone of similar stature) would do a far better job both on and off the pitch.
