Not unless a few of them played really well but we were just unlucky, haven't read the report though so don't know. Wonder if the reserves manage to get more shots on target than the first team normally do, as in the last few games, we seem to have been creating chances, but other than when we score, probably at least 75% of our efforts dont even force the keeper to bend down and pick up a shot going at 2mph,let alone a thunderbolt or a flying header. Ok Collins' effort on saturday goes down as off target but its rare to see efforts like that, from that distance, with that much bend on them to fly into the top corner........well, except michael essien for chelsea last season, which is what collins' effort reminded me of

Tom Clarke and Alex Smithies played well. That's the positives over with.
It was dire.
Town 'created' absolutely no shots on target for the whole 90 minutes. The closest we came was an early shot tipped wide by the keeper (it was going about 5 foot past the post) and Malcher hitting the bar from 2 yards out. Town barley strung two passes together all afternoon. When they did manage to find someone wearing the same coloured shirt the pass was either sideways or backwards.
Why are our academy products SO lacking in strength? Too many times they were just brushed off the ball.
If that is what we are relying on to 'Grab It' and 'ride to the rescue' this Christmas (or indeed the rest of this season) then god help us. The future looks bleak.
