If they've been relieved of their duties, then he has been sacked, rather than resigning.

Jesus. Wasn't expecting this at all.
A little bit sad to be honest as I admired his desire and work ethic but I don't think he can have many complaints and some of his recent decisions and press ramblings have been bizarre.

Me and a mate at work have never said sack him before & always tried to defend. But after last night we both said maybe now would be the time, get a new man in who could have an impact & get us playing well for the play offs. Still surprised it has actually happened, but not worried if true.
Oggy just tweeted it too

Shocking time to sack a manager. Too late for a new guy to do anything and a bunch of naffed off players. 3 defeats in 55...Hoyle will be the laughing stock of the football league...nobody will want the job after that imo

Hope you're all satisfied now. League One Forever hahahahaha he's been an awful, unprofessional, rude, arrogant manager who has brought in 4/5 good players and spent a lot of money. Given us a few good games but there's many better managers out there

I'm worried that Leeda may do something silly on the back of this news.

Feel sorry for him as he did his best for us and doesn't deserve abuse for it

Hope you're all satisfied now. League One Forever Utter garbage. League 1 forever because we've got rid of Clark? Is that what you're saying? If so, you need your head looking at ASAP, because there's clearly something wrong.

Hope you're all satisfied now. League One Forever Are you really suggesting we can't find another manager to get us out of the 3rd division?

Automatics back on then with someone sensible in charge. Come on Town!!!!! No chance, It will take a new manager time to get his ideas across to players and playing the way he wants. Play offs still i'm afraid.

He deserves to be out, Neil Warnock or Billy Davies or Mick McCarthy

good luck Lee clark, your record here will stand up to one of the best ever at Town. Some supporters may be careful what they wish for!

we are still in with a chance, but a change had to be made now - or we'd never do it. thank god the gaffer is a fan.

He clearly worked hard for the club and there's no doubt the man had passion so I thank him for that. It's a sad day for Deano no doubt as has invested 3 years of his life and money into Clark.
But ultimately we were clearly not going in the right direction - drawing too many, players devoid of confidence, lack of any coherent tactics - I honestly could not see too many wins coming.
As said before, home games have just not been worth going to due to nil entertainment value. Ultimately ticket sales for home games are the lifeblood of the club and something had to be done to get the crowds back and ensure better prospects of strong season ticket sales.
Grayson for me!

Surprised at this, though if it gives us the chance to get in someone better I'm not necessarily complaining. The way they're talking on Sky Sports News seems to suggest he might be taking a job somewhere else pretty soon...

would be harsh to have sacked him purely based on results - and i doubt that is why dean has. more too it imo
abuse towards him is bang out of order though. how can you abuse the bloke when he was almost in tears after the PO's
