i know ive wanted him out for a while and am quite happy at this moment in time, there is no need for personal insults. he did work his nuts off for us and ill long remember him for bring pilks and rhodes to the club but he fell very short in the end.
well done dean for having the balls to make this call!

Wow!!!
Not sure that's a good move if we've sacked him - should at least have given him til end of the season...
It's a shame we never got back to playing how we did when he first took over - that was sexxxy football!
Ah well, Gerry Murphy! (If Warnock's not interested!)

we now have a chance to do it. all it needs is a manager who can actually organise the side and get the best out of the players.

Wouldn't be surprised if losing, the really poor tactics last night, and the completely nosensical decision to stick a full back in the centre of midfield when we have so many cm's at the club was the final straw for Hoyle. The main advantage of making a change now is it allows a new man to come in, assess the team, watch them play, so he can make more informed decisions on who to keep, who to get rid of, who to bring in etc in the summer.

Very shocked. He has been a big part in bringing the club on from where we were when he took over, both on and off the field. He gave us some of the best football since Bruce in his first season and has consistently had us as promotion contenders which is more than can be said for the other managers we've had in this division. Yes he signed a lot of players but I do think that most of the permanent signings have been a success for us, (the less said about the loans the better).
Good luck to Lee in the future and I hope he gets fixed up with another job. I have respect for any manager that gets us into the record books, even if he ultimately failed at getting us promotion. Was nice to have a manager who looked to genuinely care after Ritchie and Ternant.

Although i don't believe he should have been sacked, with 11 days before next game it might not be a bad time to have done it if someone is put in place pretty quickly. LC will learn from his time here and i hope he goes on to become a good manager.
Will be interesting to see who throws their name into the hat over the next day or 2.

He clearly worked hard for the club and there's no doubt the man had passion so I thank him for that. It's a sad day for Deano no doubt as has invested 3 years of his life and money into Clark. But ultimately we were clearly not going in the right direction - drawing too many, players devoid of confidence, lack of any coherent tactics - I honestly could not see too many wins coming. As said before, home games have just not been worth going to due to nil entertainment value. Ultimately ticket sales for home games are the lifeblood of the club and something had to be done to get the crowds back and ensure better prospects of strong season ticket sales. Grayson for me! Agree with all that but not sure about Grayson : : : : : :

I'm quite sad it has turned out like this, I really did like the bloke and wanted success for all the work he has put in. Must have been a hard decision for Deano, but can understand why, Clark's tactics recently have been questionable. Sad day, but I trust Deano to get the right man!

I agree about Grayson. He's shown twice that he can get teams into The Championship, something Clark (for all the media attention) has yet to achieve. I believe Grayson was working in very difficult conditions at Leeds.

Will be interesting to see who throws their name into the hat over the next day or 2. Just about every currently out of work manager I would imagine... plus a good few who aren't.

Even without saying the words "we sacked him", it's clearly a sacking, not a resignation.

I was neither pro clark, or anti clark. I think managers grow and learn with experience.
We were too negative for me at times (playoffs the prime example) and I found many tactical and substitution choices to be poor and without imagination.
So I don't think that the management team were learning their lessons.
He has gone now, no need to get overly emotional. I feel positive about a change. A fresh approach, we have many players underperforming and a change can sometimes create new energy.
So hopefully we get in someone good who can make the best out of this crop of players and get us up.

Just like to say thank you to Lee Clark for his passion, endeavor and enthusiasm. It was the right decision and I'm sad that the bright new era under our chairman ended with his sacking. I hope for the best for him for the future and now its time for us to find a manager who can take the undoubted talent we have on our books and turn them into winners

Very happy about this. I think we will have people lined up, and interested in the job, if we've sacked him.

Gutted tbh. Wanted to go up under him, liked the energy and profile. Last night tho' was the first time I'd questioned him. So what we reckon based on performance or because he's been tarting himself around to other clubs?

As long as its not Warnock. Lets get someone in who can get the lads playing football, but with some organisation and a plan. Warnock is yesterdays man, and there are some on here who seem to think he is the Messiah, i.e. guaranteed promotion. Whatever happens now, its still got to be part of a plan for the longer term future of the club, and Warnock would be going backwards.

"but look what happened at sunderland with the same players."
I suspect that is a major part in the thinking of Deano. It will be interesting to see what someone else can get out of the current team & more importantly the "freezen few"!!!
