The recipients pay excess postage. Expect it to arrive by the end of January. How many did you put in like that?
When I (as a student) did the Christmas Shift at Royal Mail, I was astounded by the number of people who just posted all their cards in the nearest postbox, without any thought as to whether or not the postal workers would know where 'John and Delia' or 'Karen and Leonard' might live...
