Been offered a contract in South Africa , which could spin out to 4 years long
the question is do i take it and spend 12 weeks out there come back for 2 weeks for the next 4 years

I work with loads of SAFA's here and all say it is going to the dogs but if you have got a job there you must have skills in short supply but a rotation of 12/2 doesn't sound that good. I do 6/3 here, as do all expats, although Kiwis do 8/4 cos of travelling time

If the money is good enough to retire on after the 4 year contract go for it...4 years to then take it easy for the rest of your life has got to be worth it.........but the deal breaker would be will they let you come home for dinners!!!

Life is short Daz, I would leave the UK forever if it meant I could give the family better opportunities and have a better standard of living.
I'd miss getting pissed on a Satdy at the football though.
