Speaking to a lad at work whos a Wolves fan and listened to him telling me how they supported the team through thick and thin and they would be the noisiest and best fans we have this year.
What a load of tosh. Silent once we scored until they jammed one in on the hour and even then that only lasted a few mins.
Seems most teams are the self proclaimed best fans in this league!

There were a few wolves fans looking for trouble after the game including a sad old man in his 40s accompanied by his 10-11 yr old son! Pathetic, but it doesnt spoil a great day and result

They were never more than ten feet from a pair of bobbies. What a bloody farce for the poor folk of our great town. I don't normally venture through the town centre on match day but was aghast at the number of police that I saw lining the towns street today! It is unnerving for the fans let alone the folk going about their weekly shop

Very surprised by the poor (by their own previous standards) turn out today! They were one of the best sets of fans we had at our place last time we were in this Division and despite a spell in the Prem they have clearly dropped down the rankings!
And some of the nonsense on the way out was just ridiculous!

That's the Championship for you. I think there are more 'thuggy clubs' than in the Prem. At Canalside Deano was lamenting about the increased police bill, especially for the Leeds game.

It is unnerving for the fans let alone the folk going about their weekly shop I'm quite partial to it. It's all about the big match day. The threat of violence gives a certain... hmm... je ne sais quois to the proceedings. Bit like going to travelling fairs when you're a teenager. You never know when it'll kick off. Might not please Aunty Ethel, but it keeps you on your toes.

You should have seen and heard the pondlife in coach D on the 707pm out of Manchester Piccadilly- what a bunch of brainless f##kwits. What the travelling public and lone Town fans have to put up with.

I thought they were pretty loud to be honest. Not many fans would be singing at 2-0 down.

Pathetic, but it doesnt spoil a great day and result I saw that, not sure what it was all about. He was remonstrating with a copper and his lad was trying to pull him away. There was a lot of posturing by the coaches from the Wolves fans but sod all in the way of punches thrown. I heard one woman call one of the Wolves fans a "fat bastard" as he was giving it a load of mouth. I thought that was quite funny to be honest I actually said to her "get in there love" I was that impressed by her!!!

Sportsman was full of them before game, with loads of old bill outside.
had some good banter with them, funny and decent lads , all hate birmingham with a passion. think it was used as away pub today. pre match they were saying that they usually set out not to lose away and were a bit suspect at the back, so it proved !!

Their fans were quiet. Very poor. I didn't realise they had brought any fans with them until they scored their goal. Mind you, we had been playing them off the park up until that point.

Their fans weren't quiet that's rubbish. Okay they didn't sing for 90 minutes and I also thought Town fans made more noise than normal. But to say they were quiet is wrong.
I think the way the exits to the coaches work is far from ideal, don't like seeing old supporters and families having to encounter morons coming down the steps to their coach all mouthy.
I don't think the police have got a clue to be quite honest and it will kick off in a bad way sometime this season after a home game.

The way the leaving of fans is after a game is just plain wrong the away fans will come into contact with all Town fans going up the hill and passes the coaches. Why they don't keep the away support back by a few mins I'll never know...

Would you fancy picking up the bill for the stadium repair costs if we tried to hold them back after the final whistle, Nick? If anybody, it'll be home fans they hold back as we're less likely to tear the stadium apart to use as missiles.

The Car Park should have been designed so that the away coaches could access the upper tier car park and then park along the back of the south stand. Simple. Unfortunately I suspect the gradient of the access slope is so steep that most coaches would risk grounding.

Funnily enough Nickhudd was going to ask is The Sportsman now a designated Away Pub? Was in the car in traffic, coming under railway bridge towards the Sportsman with my lad approx 1pm yesterday, when a group of 10 Wolves Fans were walking in and out of cars singing, making their way towards Sportsman. Was gonna tell em "No Lads we are Leeds nowt to do with us!"...but thought better of it !

Personally I think after Friday nights fiasco they will have their allocation cut on the insistence of the police and I suspect Town fans won't be allowed out that way until they've cleared Leeds away, like they did against Wednesday that time.

Drinking before our game, if we get any tickets, is not really on my agenda.....just getting in and out and home will be good enough. Suspect Friday nights events will have a positive impact for the safety of both Home and Away Fans .....wonder if SKY TV will make a donation to your policing costs ?
