I flew 6,000 miles, and he couldn't be bothered to walk 10 yards to talk to me at Canalside !!! where were you in the Canalside Phil? Thought I'd better post this in here before it got buried over there. Yeah, just razzing you. I was looking for you, but when I saw Ian and went over to him, you'd just left. We were standing by the tables up by the bar. There were a few of us in NFL shirts (photo in the NFL thread in off-topic), drinking 4-pint pitchers of Timmy Taylor's for 8 quid. Deal. I got to meet TonyWal though. Who was that other bloke with you Ian ? The night before, we did make it to the New Inn (is it always so bloody packed on a Friday?). We were going to go to the Navigation in Mirfield, but fortunately was told that the Mayor was talking about the Navigation in Solihull. It would've been a bit tight making that one by closing time, ha ha. I'm not even sure if the Navigation's still open in Mirfield? It's been 40 years since I was last in it !! Based on recent results, do you think it's worth me asking Dean if he'll fly me in for every big game  .... not to mention the weather I bring. Who did win that bowling tournament anyway ?? |
