I normally avoid ITV, but thought this was worth a look. Not brilliant, but certainly worth another viewing tonight.
Moving Wallpaper is better. It's only really worth watching Echo Beach because of the in jokes you've acquired.

I watched "Atom" on BBC4. Quite interesting but physics is absolutely insane. Some of the ideas are so far beyond comprehension it's amazing.

Physics does that to my head. It makes me feel really stupid.

What's the real story though? I suspect that ITV really made Echo Beach seriously as a Hollyoaks/Home and Away mutation but realised before airing that it was dreadful so tried to poach Rob Brydon (sic) from BBC to make it all into a postmodern in-joke.

You might be right there. I'm also glad I'm not the only one who confused them two.

Unfortunately not my joke - apparently Miller has commented on being irritated by people getting him and Brydon confused. I can understand that as no-one likes the idea that people think that they are Welsh AND have bad skin (at least Bernoulli looks like the sort of man who exfoliates, even if it is only his feet).

Actually, I started watching this because it's a Tony Jordan thing and seeing as he's a god for Life on Mars I thought I'd give it a go. He's obviously trying to merge his East Enders experience with a new career in comedy.
