We won £40,000 today that wasn't forecast.
By my reckoning that would be enough to bring in a decent player from the Championship until the end of the season.
Add £500,000 of our share of the takings from Old Trafford in the 4th round plus a couple of hundred grand from the Arsenal game and quite possibly record shirt sales for the centenary kit and we might just about break even in this period?!

Today's game would have raked in closer to £100,000 extra money.

and guaranteed next round 5 live money and match of the day highlight money. Also extra revenue from gate money. Sponsorship also is charged at a higher rate for the 2 matches. So i'll make it nearer £160,000

Today's game would have raked in closer to £100,000 extra money. For clarify, as I said, we *won* £40,000. Thats the prize money for winning a 3rd round game. Plus roughly £40k-£50k 1/3rd split of the takings minus expenses to end up with something approaching £100k. However - my point was that as of the 3rd round draw we KNEW we'd get the £40k-£50k with regards to forecasting and planning for the transfer window, but the £40k prize money is a windfall on top of that.

Lets just hope town don't release different figures to those which are known in public (like we did after the worcester game a few years ago)

we aren't guranteed 5 live commentary or MOTD main highlights money for round 4 as we dont know who we're going to get,the MOTD money is only given if you're 1 of the main matches,if we'd have been drawn against someone like Dag & Red then we wouldn't have been a main match, and wouldnt have got the £18k-a big team at home would be good though, maybe get a live TV game which with it being in the 4th round would give us £150k*
*the £150k being the live broadcast fee we'd receive, not how much we'd make through gate receipts, winners money etc in total

The only thing Davy will be releasing is the hounds, if AR comes with his cheap blue begging hat emblazoned with HTFC

Don't forget to take away the *cough* very reasonable WY police costs... Police don't take a cut of prize money! And as an aside, I should imagine that the costs wouldn't have been too bad today, there didn't seem to be that many police in the ground (oddly there were no stewards on the steps in the Kilner either for most of the game, which I think is a first). The people of Kirklees and Leeds will have paid for the presence around Town before and after though!! Any idea what went off at the top end of the ring road up past the Old Hatte?

For the sake of clarity I said "we'd gained £100,000 extra money from the game".
