Yep, he did brilliantly today. Why waste all that money on NoWork when we've got a player who can become just as good, if not better?

He's already better IMO. He passes to our players instead of the touchline. He works he chases he can tackle and he plays the easy ball. Looks quality and although I still feel we need to bring someone in I'd rather stick with what we have than bring crappy Wallwork back.

Brilliant display from the young lad today! Even when he lost the ball (as you'd maybe expect a young kid to do from time to time) he was the first player to slide in and win it back! Hope he turns out to be a good 'un

To be thrown in against a Premiership side on debut and then make it look like you've been in the first team for years deserves credit.
Note to Ronnie Wallwork: THATS how you do it!

he showed more interest and passion in that 90mins than wallwork has shown since he first joined us-berrett even did something that wallwork has yet to do for us-make a tackle!

Yeah he played from the bench against Oldham and Blackpool back end of last season.
Seem to vaguely remember him looking totally out of his depth. None of that today though, some very impressive composure under pressure.
The one negative I saw which might limit his ability (especially at League 1 level) to impress over a period is that he looked very very poor in the air, but other than that, perhaps the most impressive full debut of a home grown player that we've seen this century?

I know Bone personally. Sound lad, very down to earth and hopefully he will get a run in the side now.

He was awesome today for a debutant. I thought it was between him, Andy H and Brandon for MOM. If he can remain consistant than that's the midfielder weve been looking for. I agree about Wally's time being up with us. Hopefully AR will feel the same and leave him to the WBA reserves. What a fantastic afternoon that was

Berret played very well today. Why Ritchie didn't throw him into the team when Sinclair was suspended is beyond me.

Based on what was said during pre-season, I'm surprised Mitchell Bailey hasn't made his debut yet. He seems to have disappeared!

Old head on old shoulders.
Combative, calm and simple alongside the brilliant holdsworth.
Looked like this was his 100th game not his 1st.
The moment which summed his performance for me was the foul he made towards the end of the game. Strange choice? He knew he had lost his man but showed experience beyond his age by fouling the player and bringing him down when he realised he had space for a shot on goal. Took the booking when most wouldn't have been professional enough to do so.
Well done.

It was a big game for the lad to come in to, and he didn't let anyone down. Has Brian Clough use to say "Well done young man".

good game for berrett, but lets keep our feet on the ground, he is still young and still needs developing, but it does look promising that both him and AH (who played brilliantly again) kept two premiership midfielders quiet.
well done town

Very promising debut for an 18 year old against a Premiership side
He certainly looks capable of doing a job in the first team if needed again this season.

Well done to James with a note of caution... Tom Clarke also did very well down at Chelsea, but due to injury, has struggled since. One game doesn't maketh the man.

Gotta agree. Fantastic game by the lad. Wasn't afraid to get stuck and looked quite composed on the ball. Lets get rid of him now so he stands a chance of proggressing into a decent player
