For all the stick Robinson gets, I don't think Beckford is the better option. Both are capable of bagging a goal and atleast Robinson offers runs in to the channels etc. Robinson laid off a couple of balls nicely in the 5 minutes he was on, far more than Beckford managed with his stupid flicks in the other 85

Service to both beckford and vaughan was nothing short of abysmal. If you think Theo "second-touch-is-a-tackle" Robinson would have looked anything other than pathetic out there today you clearly didn't attend Burnley away! Didn't think Vaughan was particularly inspiring alongside Beckford but nothing slating him. Overall poor all round team performance with us offering naff all creativity from the centre of the park or from wide areas. To scapegoat Beckford is quite frankly ridiculous.

Vaughan got no service either but he wasn't dog sh*t every time he got the ball. He's lazy, can't be arsed and scores 4 goals a season on silly wages. If we sign him I'll be very disappointed! I've seen nothing this season to convince me he's the awesome strike some say he is.

I actually feel sorry for Beckford there is no service to him and he's left to play up front on his own. We have 2 wingers sat on the bench twiddling their thumbs whilst we have a prolific goalscorer on the pitch with no service, its laughable, it beggars belief. Robins will get us relegated at this rate.

If you want him to run around like a headless chicken like Novak then he isn't that type of player.

If we'd STARTED with Ward and Scannell, we'd have lost by 3 or 4....its absolutely the right thing to do what Robins did and pack that midfield out against a team like Hull and try and kill the game. It more or less worked other than a very poor conceded goal.

Other teams down the bottom are actually trying to win games, as TerrierArmy says you get rewarded for positivity. Fuck about trying to get draws and we'll end up going down

Those talking about service, Beckford doesn't help himself with his lack of movement. Clarke spent most of the game bollocking him

Beckford isn't an all action type of player like Vaughan, and he doesn't get any decent service, but ...
His performance today was very, very poor. Lack of movement, touch and acceptable work rate. The quickest he ran all day was when he ran off the pitch to be subbed!

Fuck about trying to get draws and we'll end up going down It nearly worked, and if we hadn't conceded when we did, we'd probably be more likely than Hull to have come away with 3 points. Robins has clearly set his stall out to run the season down with tight, organised performances, no gung ho stuff that results in heavy defeats and then having to rethink and put in 'get over that heavy defeat' performances. If you could have given me 0-0 at 520pm, of course I'd have taken it. Tuesday will be more of the same, and if you're expecting anything different then you're in cloud cuckoo land.

If they hadn't scored then they would have come at us more and we'd have continued to look at shite as we did first half

Looking like he gives a toss would also help.

Funny how Beckford gets defended for no service when he did nothing all match yet Novak and Lee get slated for not doing anything with balls 10 feet above their heads despite putting some effort in.
