Vaughan is a brilliant player but I must confess hiss trademark celebration is asking for a injury. Someone needs to intervene before a player or himself gets hurt. A corner flag swinging in your face could easily break a nose or worse, I think the only way to let Vaughan know this is not wanted by town is to it celebrate on Saturday if he scores. By doing that it prevents him injury and also stops the crowd standing up. Kills two birds with one stone as it were.

No brainer, we must sign him, hes been superb and not just with the goals, think Deano will be determined and JV seems to love it at Town.

Has anybody ever killed 2 birds with one stone? I think it's nigh on impossible, unless there caged and you drop a massive rock on the cage.

Going back to the original point, £750k would be a bargain, although I can't see norwich selling for less than they paid. I reckon we'd be in the box seat but derby might be able to offer more money.

Vaughan is a must buy if we can afford him.

Nothing in the rules that says you cant pick up the same stone and throw it at another bird, hence killing two birds with one stone, same principle could be extended to kill several birds with just the one stone not just two....

I think the club would be prepared to push the boat out for Vaughan providing we're still in this division, hopefully he could be convinced that we have what it takes to to be pushing for the play offs next season. Lets face it he is a top champ player so wont be interested in another relegation battle and understandably so. Vaughan more than anyone knows it can be a short career. Seems like a bright lad and more than capable of making his own decisions without too much influence from agents.

He's already lifted it, he's talking about dropping it.
If Vaughan is really available for £750k, and we're in the Championship, and we can afford his wages, then we HAVE to sign him.
I'd have thought he's worth double that, he's a young lad, and plays with the kind of energy that could see him still play in the Premier League...I think cos he started so young, drip fed by Everton we forget how much hes got left to offer...hes only a year older than Jordan Rhodes.

In the end I don't think Derby will be the only other club interested in him and perhaps Norwich may decide to keep him!

One swallow doesn't make a summer so his injury problems are still a major issue really, will be reflected in how much he's in demand and the fee, Norwich may want to cut their losses. I think he'd be worth the gamble personally and hopefully he's over the worst and benefitting from lots of games but it could go either way and we could end up with a million pound striker on big bucks who never plays.

Until when is he contracted to Norwich?
I assumed that he would be coming to the end of his contract this summer.

Pretty sure he'd pick Town over Derby...he obviously loves it here. But yes, as with Rhodes, money may talk in the end...hopefully we don't repeat the Rhodes mistake and pay whatever it takes (within some kind of reason)...
But surely we need to cheer Norwich on to staying up then...more likely they'll want him in the Champ than the Prem...

We were offering bigger wages than Derby last summer so i'm not too sure they're in a position to offer him much more than we can

Don't understand why you're all so desperate to sign him If he hadn't missed that penalty at Ipswich then we'd be safe already

Roy of the Rovers - he also got a hat trick that day, saved a pen and got intimate with the chairman's wife and daughter at the same time - probably the most interesing man in Melchester
