We was awsome against birmingham we have being wasting at Right Back. We should buy a right back not a centre back

He may have played well but against Northampton he was awful at centre back. I personally don't think he is tall enough to play at centre back and think that right back is definately his better position.

I really enjoyed yesterday and it goes without saying how I felt at the final whistle BUT the pressure is still on KD and AR so we can't get too carried away, we need to get into the playoffs atleast.

Hold on, 99% of this board said sinclair was awful at centre back, a waste of space, here for a last pay day bla bla bla after northampton!!
Now he's john terry!
Let's put it in perspective! He was poor against northampton but not half as bad as some made out. He was also excellent yesterday and hardly put a foot wrong.
Mirfin also was excellent alongside sinclair yesterday - maybe they can form a partnership with eachother?
But as i said when sinclair was getting ridiculous abuse last week, he is a very good right back at this level. At centre back, i think he will have his good games and his not so good games.
His role for me is more as a right back.
But ar must decide which himself ...if he considers him a rb, we need a centre half...if he considers a centre half, we need a rb.
The other thing to consider is he is something like 5 foot 9 - he's decent enough in the air and gains a lot when he jumps -but if he is at centre half and boothy isn't playing we lack height in the team. You might survive against a premiership side but against a more physical/bigger league 1 side we may not do.

Sinclair did ok yesterday because Birmingham tried to play their way through our defence and the one thing hes really good at is anticipating a pass and intercepting it. Against league 1 teams who are far more likely to lump high balls into the area he struggles terribly at centre back. Hes just not strong enough in the air and even when he does win a header, its a complete lottery as to which direction its going to fly off in. He needed a good game yesterday cos lately hes been shit whether its been right back or centre back.

Did anyone notice that Stoke had 8 players 6feet 2in or over against Newcastle today. It felt a bit the same for us against Northampton? Is this the way ENGLISH football is going? What we lack in ability is compensated for in height; Crouch springs to mind.
