There were always rumours that a 'first refusal' option on his return was agreed when he went to Real, though with fergie retiring I thought otherwise.

With Rooney going in the opposite direction, maybe?

If he comes back over here is there any chance he can quit the diving, the 'sitting on the floor with his hands open asking where his freekick is' routine and his 'asking the ref to book someone' routine? Apart from that, good player.

It's all bobbins, valencia has publicly come and and said doesn't want the number 7 shirt as it is too much of a burden on him. This isn't to say that the number 7 shirt won't be a new signing, but Ronaldo signing is just pure speculation, can you imagine how much he would cost!

Won't be coming back yet. Even if Bale goes to Madrid he isn't going to score 60 next season to replace Ronaldo's goals. Bale is a very good player but he's nowhere near a replacement for Ronaldo. Rooney certainly won't be going to Madrid either I think they have far more sense than to think that's a good idea.

Messi gets kicked to bits no matter who he is playing and very rarely complains so not sure anyone turns a blind eye to anything. On Revista at the end of last season they showed 7 blatant penalties Messi should've had that he didn't get and he appealed for 2 of them.To be fair to Ronaldo he isn't half as bad as he used to be especially considering the treatment he gets as well. A lot of people seem to think Spanish football is full of little fancy footballers and no tacklers, just because they have more skill and ability on the ball doesn't mean they don't get stuck in and target players.

Some people won't even consider the information you are giving them colt, they just have an automatic 'bollocks' response

Bale is a top quality player, and all he has to do now is prove himself in Spain (if he goes) and the Champions League for him to be really one of the world's best.

With Rooney going in the opposite direction, maybe? Why would Real Madrid want Wayne Rooney ? Not good enough 100 goals in last 4 seasons. Compared to Benzema's 49 in 4 seasons at Madrid? Even when played out of position, Rooney is quality.

This doesn't seem unlikely - Moyes needs to make some sort of marquee signing if Man Utd are to keep up their reputation as superclub.

That'll be why he couldn't get into the man utd team and has become an England dud .. I'm not fully genned up on euro football.. Is Benzema a first choice for Madrid ? If not why are you comparing him to him ?

Manchester Utd are Managed by David Moyes, David Moyes used to Manage Everton, whilst at Everton he gave James Vaughan his debut at 16 years of age. James Vaughan now plays for Huddersfield. Prior to Moyes, They were managed by Alex Ferguson, he led Man Utd to their 3rd successive League title in 1996, a feat first accomplished by Huddersfield Town back in 1926. Manchester Utd play at Old Trafford the scene of Huddersfield Towns league 1 play of defeat back in 2011, who incidentally were managed at the time by Darren Ferguson, Alex Fergusons son. Pretty relevant, made even more so by something we all have in common which is making money.

He once went for a curry with Tony Carss.

The English however aren't happy unless they are taunting Rooney about his looks/hair and berating him for his lifestyle choices. Rooney is far more highly rated abroad than he is in England. And before anyone questions Rooney's past England performances, only him, Cole, Wilshere and Hart can be considered as top international players from the squad we have. We have seen at Huddersfield Town how players of Rhodes and Vaughan class can look distinctly average when they have no support. Why is Rooney afforded less leniency in a side than can get out-passed by Montenegro?
