Good day out in Holmfirth after Barnsley game. We ended up staying in the Nook in Holmfirth playing Killer......Bloody Scoff money to money is all I have to say on that subject....christ Im sounding like Forrest Gump.... No seriously great day out and once again with the best people in the world..every one a legend. I believe Holmfirth was another first on the Pikey tour of pubs and towns in this fair land. Cheers. Well said Martin! The game was a disappointment but the evening in Holmfirth was enjoyable spent in the company of some fine people. I missed out on the killer but believe there was 'only one fluky bassa'.

The Nook, Digwon.
That pool table above used to be in the back room which the only access to was go all the way round the outside or through the gents bogs which wasn't wide enough to swing a cat in. You'd find yourself having a piss on a Friday night and a gang of lasses traipsing through behind your back.
I know Ted's talking about the same pub cos he's PMed me before about some characters who used to go there.

They both have pool facilities but the picture is from the nook... The first time I played pool there was upstairs in some kind of barn thing round the back.. Never been to another pub where access (to both sexes) was through the gents urinal.. It's moved on a lot since them days and is now positively upmarket. Shame I wasn't about on sat day I would have liked to have saluted the pikeys on my own manor

Never really went anywhere but the Nook, Old Bridge, Sycamore (think that's gone now) and Wooldale Arms, White Hart www.useyourlocal.com/pubs/west-yorkshire/holmfirth/new-mill/white-hart/q/ref-61687/ and WMC in NewMill.

Hello Boys Just to say Yes it was the Nook we stopped at and played pool. I got speaking to the Landlord, a really nice chap. He was telling me that Blackburn fans call in when their playing up this way, normally two coach loads ( I never knew they had such a big support...meow). The landlord said we would be welcome back anytime.. we should be with amount of monies we put across bar. Heres a few more photos and Scoff with the winners trophy for killer... bless him.Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted
