Think just from the Beeb report like that the lads doing ok, but I can't see us getting anything out of this at the minute. Seem to be getting the odd shot in but Watford getting far more chances. Very very disappointing, well for me anyway.

We often concede straight after scoring and late in halves. Not my imagination, its gone on for a years. A poor sign.

Thanks, maybe he'll get a cheeeky equaliser (PS what vineyard is that?) De Sousa. About 5 kilometers from here. They are owned by Diamond Estates who have a couple of vineyards in the area. Nice whites, so-so reds, much like the whole Niagara wine region to be fair. Excellent ice wine (no kidding eh? It is Canada after all) if you like that kind of dessert sweet wine. Close miss by a Ward free kick.

Getting close to KOR's "All eyes are on the fourth official" line. Looking forward to it as usual.

Wasn't expecting anything from this fixture if I'm honest plus can't see us doing anything at Leicester but I would settle for 4th from bottom again this season think a few on here think we should be beating teams like Middlesbrough Watford etc etc but in reality never really going to happen and like I said 4th from bottom will be a success again in my opinion

But come on lad, talk about aiming low! Is that all we are? A Club that just wants to stay up every season. Jesus.

Bloody he'll how can 4th bottom be a success, why do you feel we are so inferior to so many teams in this division. Burnley lost Austin and Paterson and couldn't afford to replace them, they got Arfield because on a free.. They are top, why should we not expect more ? Aim low achieve nothing.

Survival, regardless of our final position in the table, can only be considered as a successful season, anything else on top of that is a bonus.

Oh well - from what I heard on Town Player - beaten by the better side !!! Missed the first 30 minutes due to the 'technical problems' - as discussed on another post - but - not Alex Smithie's 'fumble'. Getting close to KOR's "All eyes are on the fourth official" line. Looking forward to it as usual. *** canuckterrier *** this cheered me up though - something I have noticed too - and - of course KOR did not let us down. "Tony Blair, that icon of safe Sedgefield. A strange old/new town of oddly flagged concrete wildernesses. Thanks for the report. Reckon i could have written that without seeing the game. Hard to beat, organised, workman-like but without much flair or cutting edge. Slow and ponderous build from the back, ineffectual, pointless passes, Vaughan (clearly quality) isolated. Yep, thats every game this season i have seen". *** otium - from reading some your posts I understand your are 'well travelled' - but - you have clearly not been to Sedgefield - where I now live - it is a village - dating back to medieval times - not a "strange old/new town of oddly flagged concrete wildernesses". Cannot disagree with your comments on my Match Report (Middlesbrough v Town)though - I could have written it without going - and - I was there !!!

You had the better chances, on the break. No way should you have been out of sight though. Well played, good 3 points for you there that perhaps you only marginally deserved.

Fair enough - yes we are pretty dangerous on the counter attack with the pace we have (albeit Anya only came on)
Good luck for the season.

Thought we were good first half and deserved to go in ahead. A couple of defensive errors cost us and they punished the mistakes.
Second half they were better as we pushed forward and it left gaps at the back.
If we had nicked a point it wouldn't have been an injustice.
Good effort against a top side in this league full of good individuals who, let's face it, wouldn't be anywhere near Watford if it wasn't for the money from their owners.
We also started with 4-2-3-1 which I was happy with although clayton was bab and rightly subbed at half time.

Beaten by the better team. We didn't create enough, what we did create usually ended up off target (no surprise there though), too many poor crosses, and 2 terrible goals to give away to be honest.

Wow, a massive 4 shots on target. That is some kind of recrod for Town. Frankly embarrassing. I trust Robins but not the players.

Thought we started really well today and deserved to go a goal up. The turning point was the poor goal we gave straight after and brought them into the game. We then settled down well and gave as good as we got until Smithies gift for the second.
Once we went 4 at the back they looked like they could score at will but I don't think we would have done that had we not needed to chase the game.
Disappointed with the result but not the performance, especially against a good team who could well have been in the premier league this season.

We are not very comfortable passing the ball about. holmes zipped a few passes to feet when he came on and gave us a forward intent.
However our version of a passing game is passing backwards and making our least comfortable players on the ball play from the back.
We never have someone moving it forward with any intent. no one making the runs and no one really creating anything.
Hammil enjoyed the space first half and put in 1 good cross which ward got on the end of. the rest of them were pretty gash. Danny ward was ok, but too head down and running to corners.
The midfield are like 3 david battys. although clayton today was particularly poor. his first touch took him into trouble almost everytime. he never made space for himself.
Smithies made a howler and then a decent save second half to make up slightly.
Why Vaughan joined us...... ill never know. he is a class act, works hard to get on the end ofthe the little we create.
Jazx richards looked comfcomfortable on the ball. I think he could be more creative in a midfield role, which im led to believe he can also play in that position.
Overall it was too slow, too predictable and not done with any forward intent.
Mark Robins is trying to make us play better football and we have come a long way in 12 months. Think its just a case of personell. Holmes gives us something that we need from the experienced midfielders.
4/10 decent but not great first half. woeful at times in the second half. but lots of good signs as well.
