I think most of the lads played well, except for, you guessed it, Norwood and Clayton. Clayton again looking lazy and sloppy, Norwood is missing and passing backwards or making incomplete passes. FGS - even Ward looked better than he has for the last god knows how many months.
Watford were the better side overall though - but not by that much.

Good performance today Town, couple of costly mistakes for their goals. Clarkey for the first and Hammill for the second.
Yes Hammill not Smithies.

Wow, a massive 4 shots on target. That is some kind of recrod for Town. Frankly embarrassing. I trust Robins but not the players. Inane stat oti-so-simple. You could have had 20 shots on target into the goalkeeper's midrif and 20 shots that hit the post (off target). At the end of the day both stats mean diddly-squat!

For the 2nd goal people can blame smithies as much as they like but why on earth tackle a guy on the edge of the box who goes down like a sack of potatoes.

Stats are all, algorithms out perform humans everytime. 11,600 CEOs of financial institutions asked to predict future markets. Collectively less than zero. The maths wins. Computers beat people. Optimism bias, prospect theory. 3 shots on target one game, perhaps win 3-0. 3 shots on target over the season....deffo relegation. Go check out Leicester and QPR, without looking they will have had double us this season. I would stake my life on it.

Granted Hammill gave away a daft free kick, but the save for Smithies was routine but he made a right meal of it, goalkeeping error I'm afraid, blame lies fairly and squarely with Smithies. I agree Peter Clarke was at fault he should have been clean through the breakaway Watford player stopping the break dead in its tracks, but he hesitated and when he did try to make a tackle the lad was off like shit off a stick.

I've not seen Vaughan mentioned.....did he play? Yes, but he had no service, he had one header where he may have scored but directed it wide.

Something to do with conceding less.
