. 2. 3. 4. 5.One on another thread or your own design. Yes I know this has been done but IMO these are the best designs

The Boothy one is too narrow to make a decent flag, needs stretching out. Think the Deano one is a great design but a little cringeworthy IMO. Either of my preferences would be the 1920's ones.
Having said that, I think the previous thread has shown that it's probably best to allow everyone to chip their own ideas in before setting up these polls. They may be your favourite designs, but they might not be everyone elses.

The Boothy one is terrible, who wants Cardiff on our flag?

A massive flag celebrating Chapman and the thrice champions would be brilliant as it's something not many folk outside of Huddersfield will even know about, but I hate all of the designs I've seen so far.

The Union Jack...........may soon be a collector's item.......;-{ They wouldn't let us bring in a pole, so it would have to be the Union Flag.

The queen would remain head of state of an "independent" Scotland, so no need to change....the Union Flag was created for the union of the crowns, not for political union, which happened a hundred years later.

How about a big generic one like Farsley Terrier's above, and then one fro Chapman and the thrice champions team?

I think the best thing to do would be call a deadline for designs (ie Friday) and once that passes, collect them all in one thread and let a proper vote commence then.

Can't we just have a simple blue and white striped flag with HTAFC written across it & three gold stars? No need to over-complicate things.

I like the Herman Chapman one. Thing that on a huge scale would like awesome. I also think the Thrice Champions one looks good here, but I don't think it would translate as well on to a flag - too much detail.
Personally I think we should steer away from generic type flags which union jacks, standard Yorkshire quotes etc. etc. as those could be adopted by any club. If we're going to make a flag it should be about something completely unique to Huddersfield Town and something we're all proud of.

Can't we just have a simple blue and white striped flag with HTAFC written across it & three gold stars? No need to over-complicate things. For me personally it was a chance to get away for the usual generic crap you see up and down the country week in week out. You could go to nearly every single of the 92 grounds on a Saturday and you'd see some form of England flag, all you have to do is substitute their club's name out and slip in ours. That's great for international games and going away with England but what does that say about our club at a town match? That we're from England? That we support Town? I reckon most people knew that without anybody having to shell out for a giant flag telling them so. I know that wasn't what you proposed but I still reckon the same goes - blue and white stripes, HTAFC, 3 stars..they could just look at our kit? Why not do something different that celebrates what sets us apart from other clubs? Why not put something on there that provokes or at least thought provokes when displayed. Be cocky, not actually be tin pot for once. Liverpool and Man Utd have incredible flags, far better than anyone else in Britain. Why? Because they don't just print a St George's cross with LFC or MUFC on. They create flags that are unique to their club and celebrate their successes compared to others, not as well as others. The Millbrodge flag is already a great flag that says who we are with our colours - why try and imitate it when it would already be superfluous? We're one of only 4 clubs since association football starter proper to win the top flight title 3 times in a row. That means there's 88 other clubs who've NEVER done what we've done. Let them know. Let them see it and ask someone and learn summat about us. A good flag should be there to turn heads. Provocative, cocky, proud. Ben messaged me to say he didn't want me to think he was discrediting my thread by posting up his, and I don't in any way think he is. It's good that there's people wanting to do something creative for the club. But at the same time I really didn't think it was worth another new thread, all the crowdfunding/donations stuff was covered in that thread. Now it's all fragmented, and I'm posting in this thread too that didn't need creating? There was 7 pages of good discussion/positivity and now you don't know which thread to read to keep up to date, who's doing what poll and who you'd actually be giving your money to. When it comes to voting and discussing something with the potential of you handing over your money it makes much more sense to have one 14 page thread than two, almost competing 7 page threads. Anyhow's that's my 2 pence/wall of text. Those were my intentions when I started the original thread. A chance to be different and collectively raise some funds. Good luck to the lads who've also decided to do it and hopefully sooner rather than later we can get some good visuals down at the ground.
