4-5m for Clayton!?! Some of you will be incredibly disappointed if he goes. 1.5m absolute max I think... He said 'if he had 2 years left'Here's what Syran said again. I think £3-5m is about right if he had 2 years left on his contract considering how we played hard ball with Rhodes. Players of high value to the team who are under contract won't go for peanuts with DH in charge. Olliewise didn't say it though Even if he had 10 years left on his contract, I don't think we'd get more than 2.5m - he's not worth it, and he's not that far above his peers (unlike Rhodes in goals) to warrant someone paying silly money.

Cant be arsed to read all the previous comments(dont know if this guy has been linked with us) TROY DEENEY - that was the strong whisper down at canalside during the PPG kids tournament The kids probably have more sense than their parents if any of them believed this strong whisper carried any weight. Burnley is his likely destination. Wouldn't be surprised if he left Watford this summer for someone like West Brom or Burnley. Pretty sure he nod wants to be in the prem and would go for a fee well out of towns price range. Stranger things have happened though!

A number of Championship clubs including Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest are interested in Hull striker, Matty Fryatt.
I'd take him, if we could get him.

Huddersfield face competition from Reading and Leeds for Rotherham midfielder, Ben Pringle. Might lose out on him if they offer more money

"Managerless Blackpool have released 17 players, including former caretaker player-boss Barry Ferguson. The 36-year-old was placed in charge following the sacking of Paul Ince in January and led the side to safety. Among those also leaving are Kirk Broadfoot, Michael Chopra, Robert Earnshaw, Elliot Grandin, Nathan Tyson and Tony Warner." "Also departing the club are Louis Almond, Anderson Banvo, Jake Caprice, James Caton, Adam Dodd, Nathan Eccleston, Mark Halstead, Faris Haroun, Chris Kettings and Liam Tomsett." Any takers?

Nope, none of them. Used to like Chopra, but he's getting on a bit now. If we get desperate, we might look at Broadfoot, because we need another CB, but I hope Robins has the sense not to get him, even on a free. We've got too many CBs like him already.

reminds me of when we paid a bigger fee and wages to nahki wells than anyone else was offering..
can we beat everyone that's interested again??
after shifting out some big earners who knows?? thing that people forget is that leeds/reading and anyone else will have a figure that they wont go above in fees/wages for players like Pringle . We desperately wanted Wells so went the extra mile to get him, with all respect Pringle and others that have been named as targets wont command that extra effort/cost to get them in.
lots of players available, pick suitable ones for what we want to be doing, get a figure in mind for the cost and make an offer. Get knocked back, start again elsewhere. But lets start early, no panic buying as time runs out..

According to Bradford there was only us interested in Wells, they did their best to pick up interest but in the end they were left with only one buyer

I think Bradford were left with only one serious buyer..
I think we were left with Blackburn as the only 'serious' buyer for Rhodes. The rest of the alledged bids for Jordan were nowhere near what deano valued him at, probably same with Nahki.?
I don't think there will be a bidding war for Pringle or many others given the financial situation. It actually might be quite interesting in the championship this summer.

My boss at work runs a footy team in Halifax and Clayton sponsored them this season they go to the same hair dressers in Cleckhaton and he was speaking to him at the weekend and Clayton said he is staying at town he’s gunna be made captain and a few week back Hoyle asked Clayton if he should keep Robins and Clayton said we didn’t get on at first but he’s made him a better player now but his backroom staff are rubbish!
Only posting what I have been told!
If a prem club was to come in I still think he would go like!

sky sports trasfer centre snippet:
Championship outfit Bournemouth are understood to be lining up a move for Coventry City striker Callum Wilson. Only two players scored more goals than Wilson in League One last season and the 22-year-old is sure to be a target for several managers this summer - although Steven Pressley hopes he will stay with his hometown club.

Probably just a coincidence but I can't see him coming here if prem clubs are after him

Hadn't realised just how much Reading are struggling financially, their fans think they could be in a relegation battle next season
Don't think we'd have much trouble beating them to the signing of Pringle, not that I particularly want to see us sign him
I wouldn't be surprised to see us try to take advantage of Readings situation and put an offer in for Morrison. I wasn't as convinced by him as most on here but for the right money he'd be a decent signing

Luke Garbutt played very well for England U21s last night.
I wonder if Everton will loan him out again?

Is that Kirk Broadfoot? If so, he isn't a CB, and to be honest, not sure he's even a footballer. He's a walker and a useless c***. A fish could outpace him and an owl could pass a ball more accurate.
