In light of the recent support for the FML home end. Ben, Sio, Pozza, Mel Smooth, BOD Squad, Millbridge and anybody else that is interested in boosting the match day atmosphere with proper Town songs and a sea of Blue n White for like minded supporters i would be happy to set up a "Cowshed Loyal" committee and then represent the committee's thoughts/requests at the ATT meetings. The ATT covers a wide range of match day topics but to be honest 99% of my input at the meetings has been with regards to having a home end of the style that Crystal Palace have developed over the last few years....(the end that sang Palace to an incredible point against Liverpool on Monday night)!!! If between now and Monday 12th May (next ATT meeting) i can get at least 6 people interested in setting a committee up i will suggest this to the panel on the night and get back to you with the panels response. If we are going to do this successfully it needs to be with credible backing from the panel and the club so our input gets minuted and responded to........Things don't happen over night but our meetings have been rolling since November last year and with effective changes already in place in support of the home end in the last 6 months so who knows what we may have in place in the next 12 months.......... Palace had to start somewhere and with responsible and detailed input should come the same in return

Count me in.
Like you say, the Palace example has taken a number of years to build up and they're now the hot topic of the Premiership. FML (or South Stand in years to come?) will not happen overnight, but with genuine effort it can work out!

FB/Twitter perhaps better set up once things are a little more established.

Social media is fine until the keyboard warriors get to know then the slanging matches start. Do you fancy trawling through all the comments to get to the sensible ideas? A get together a few days before the ATT meeting sounds a good though.

The positives far outweigh the negatives. This move to get the FML rocking will be mocked massively but we cant let that stop us. Otherwise what is a great opportunity will end in a damp squib..

We have 13 weeks (if at home first) to get to a good starting position, and then progress as the season unfolds. With some of the ideas floated about so far, and the people driving it forward, it shouldn't fail...and it can't be allowed to.

I dont want to be sat in a shit temporary stand with no atmosphere next year. We need to get that idea out of peoples heads. Do we have any idea how many season cards have been sold in there yet? That would help as a starting point...

Excellent initiative. Great oaks and all that. Just a thought, the newly appointed (whenever) supporters liaison officer should be brought on board too I reckon, in some capacity.?
I'm willing to 'chip in' for any 'leg work' and contribute to ideas if required...I'm a bit out in the sticks (beyond Holmfirth) but am willing , able and still dodging my coffin .... Would possibly be an idea to have some flyers printed and get them stuck on notice boards at the Uni/College/schools/workplaces to get some saturation coverage going...a bit of marketing ? Maybe the club will give us a small budget allocation for this ?

Its *great* to see scoffsablue taking his position on the ATT panel seriously, and canvassing for input from other panel members rather than just going in as an individual with his own agenda, as I can only assume everyone else in the ATT panel is whilst they remain largely anonymous and only representative of their selves.
I THOUGHT that thats (the way scoffsablue seems to be approaching it) what the ATT was supposed to be about...representative fans, who will chat to other fans and take opinions and themes to the table, almost replacing the role that HTSA originally seemed to have (who are now seemingly primarily a travel club?).
I dont know his commitments, (and I dont know him and he doesnt know me), but he seems like an ideal candidate for the SLO role. Someone strong of opinion but fair minded with it, who seems to recognise that we're ALL Town fans.

The amount of time involved to be effective as the SLO would seem, to me, to rule out plenty of ideal candidates (which is why I suggested on the SLO thread) that Bob Pepper may well be 'more suited' to the role. However, if Scoffa wanted the role I can think of nobody better.

Bob Pepper is a seasoned leader, could shake things up a bit and worth his salt I reckon.

Scoffa would be ideal, but as Mids says, the role might be too much for him, and other good candidates.

Motherwell also have a decent group at the moment, they operate in one block & do some really impressive stuff so it can be done, just needs organisation & people to drive it.

The "time" required for the SLO does seem like it could be excessive...and I'm aware other clubs are treating this as a "club employee" type role. In fact, according to the FSF website, Ann Hough is currently officially identified as the SLO for Town. I'd thought it would be one of those roles that a fan ends up in, but they're effectively working for and representative of the club (similar to tog with the match day announcement role etc). It almost feels like they're doing it in a half assed way.

As far as funding a flag goes, how much collectively have we saved by moving into the FM Lower on our season card price? Thousands. Surely it wouldn't be any hardship for most to allocate a bit of their saving into funding a flag or banner?

I think the consideration at the moment is to set up either a PayPal controlled by one member (and all earnings etc being noted and made available), or setting up a crowdfunder. The potential issue with the crowdfunder is many sites demand a % of the earnings as their payment. Looking into it though.

If you want to collect money, but you arent a charity and dont want the faff of being accepted on kickstarter, maybe have a look at payitsquare.com
I've never used it, but it looks ideal. There are transaction fees, but there would be for any service of this type...and you could encourage people to pay in the most efficient way.
