Has anyone got any questions we can put to the club at the next opportunity?
A couple I would like to know
1) how many fans have taken up season cards in the fml
2) what %age of these are made up of first time fml'ers?
3) can we be allowed access to the ground earlier than normal to set up displays etc. I'm thinking colored paper on the seats for people to hold up pre kick off. Display flags etc
4) can we attempt to get some leeway on the flag regulations in particular with regards to stick length. We've seen the flags at man u and Liverpool so its clearly a nonsense.
5) is there somewhere we can store the flags between games so we don't have to drag them around every time
6) can we have the those were the days flags in the fml?
7) what are the chances of the club contributing towards banner designs and dressing of the stand

See if the club will pony up for some banners to go up in the corners. I'm thinking of ones mounted on a base, with a flag pole at each side, portrait style. They would show up on highlights and live matches and complement whatever we're doing. The only thing is that they might catch the wind but I'm sure they can take them down if that's a problem.

Can you ask the club what they've done to promote the new end? Flyers/posters around town, the uni & colleges etc.... They need to do more than just rely on this site and the examiner.
It would be great if they had a proper PR team getting the message out, doing some videos on YouTube and some social media activity to drum up interest. Maybe see if they can get some students from the uni in to work on it - with enough notice they could've set up a competition with marketing students to design the best campaign to promote it. We're badly missing a trick, I imagine most students would love to work with the club, would look great on their CV. Could get prizes from club partners, give them a box for the Leeds game, free tickets for everyone taking part. We'd reinvigorate the club's marketing, create a buzz around the club and maybe even bring some new fans in.

Definitely agree mate, but I wonder if we're better off seeing if we can run it as a fans thing? The club can distribute flyers and messages on the site etc, but perhaps they'd give us a bit of freedom with making videos for the official channel and such? I'd be more than willing to do some of the film/editing work.

I'd like to know about the FML stand itself and if the club would look at constructing a proper stand rather than scaffolding. I don't expect it done for the start of the new season but a discussion about it should be had. It needs to be steeper with a roof, possibly making it a smaller capacity so there's more room because it's incredibly cramped if your sat or stood up. It also needs close sides on to Chanel the noise towards the pitch. We can accept having the FML as a home end but I think we should be looking long term at the possibility of a proper terrace where the FML is.

1) While the opening of a post at the club for a SLO is a great move, is there scope for the club to change the requirement to a 'Team', as opposed to a singular officer?
It's a hell of a lot of work for one person to take on, especially on a volunteer basis. I feel as thought it's a position that can used to great benefit and effect, for both the club and supporters, but realistically it needs a group of at least 5 SLO's for the role to be of any benefit to either party IMO.
2) I appreciate that the club have explained in a low level of detail in the past, that there are number of hoops to jump through, in order to get permission for certain changes sections of supporters would like to see, (eg, a move to the south stand, the placement of banners/boards around the stadium, supporters taking large flags into the stadium etc)
I think it would be good to see total transparency and full detail (when requested) on what is involved in these processes, so that perhaps SLO's can become involved in these processes, and perhaps have the ability to communicate directly with safety committees, in the hope that these certain situations can be resolved quicker.

I'd like to ask the club if we could have the crowd funder link sent out in an email by the club to all ST holders, that being the clubs contribution. It will increase the crowd funders awareness and improve the FML PR. To add to that, next years ST could be £250 + £10 (which you can opt out of) with the tenner going towards displays. I don't ask for much...

I get 4 emails a day telling me about new stuff in the club shop.

This is what frustrates me at times with the club, if we get the home end right, then it'll take the negativity out of the stadium. If we all have the right mindset, then win, lose or draw, we'll always enjoy it. The club can only benefit from that, financially, and on the pitch, so you'd think they'd be happy to retweet about the flag funding campaign. It's quite saddening that we have to raise hundreds of pounds to buy one flag. I remember making a St Georges cross as a kid, took it all over with me, and never had any issues. Think of how many flags we could create with the money we have raised if we didn't have to adhere to the flags and banners policy.
