As there was talk at the meeting of traveling to a few away games together, would it be worth getting a block of seats reserved at scunthorpe? It could be a bit of a practice/see how it's gonna work pre-season! Also I don't think their ground will be stupidly strict on flags/banner etc. Scunthorpe doesn't sound too appealing but the old, small ground could work in our favor! Just an idea? Or possibly some other pre season matches?

It'll be pay on the day at Scunthorpe so wouldn't need seats reserving

I dont think a friendly would be worthwhile. They are notoriously lacking in atmosphere. We need our first appearance to be a dramatic one. Lets plan it correctly and make it the first home or away game...

Lets plan it correctly and make it the first home or away game... It being my local game I would love it if Town fans turned out in numbers and showed these numpties what proper fans are but they're ground is impossible to create any atmosphere whatsoever in. When we packed the pace the other year when we drew 2:2 they couldn't hear us at all despite their being a great atmosphere in our end. I went to one of their last home games and, despite my brother in law claiming it was rocking, it was like a morgue. On the plus side it's quite close and there shouldn't be a problem about sitting together..........oh and and there are two bars under the away stand.

Just my opinion but I think it would be perfectl! We'd get that ground rocking! Remember grrimsby? That was one of the best atmosphere I can remember last season!

Grimsby was a meaningful game though. Trust me friendlies are not condusive for a good atmosphere.. I want our first outing together to be memorable..

It's a cracking idea to get folk together Cole but I don't think it'll have that impact that perhaps our first outing should have. If we then make a big deal of it, and only 50 people turn up (which is perfectly possible with it being a friendly), then people will look at it and think "That's not too great..". We need to send a message out there on our first game sitting together as the NSL, so that people look up and hopefully want to join in too.

Fair enough see your points. You're probably right and I didn't look at it like that! Just thought we'd make more if an impact in a small, compact ground rather than a 20,000+ championship ground?

Certainly possible mate and by all means see who fancies it from NSL (it's certainly not limited to one bunch of people!), but I'd say in terms of doing a big group push we're definitely best focusing on the first game of the season. In terms of a meet and greet, get to know each other thing, I see no harm in doing Scunny.

It's just 50 people aren't gonna make allot of noise in a 40,000 seat stadium, just my opinion but the smaller the ground the better until we get established with more people :/

Wait while the fixtures come out, if we get Rotherham away it will be a sell out, and we'll make a right racket, although I've already blagged my hospitality seats for this game so I'll have to be excused.

Keep the suggestions coming Cole......There is no such thing as a stupid question mate....Only stupid answers.....The whole concept we are trying to create with the NSL is for ALL Town fans and therefore all Town fans have the right to contribute...and that being the case there will always be plenty of opinions....Keep up the good work mate

love the idea of us all in a block at an away game ,probably be a case of meeting outside ,as i think logistics of travelling together might not work ,as theres the popular bod squad and millbridge that go from dewsbury robertown liversedge area etc ,but not so sure some from other side of huddersfield could get to bod squad /millbridge side for times they set off at .not trying put a dampener on things ,was just a general thought
