Now then lads,
Not really been as active as if like on here recently due to personal circumstances but been keeping up to date as & when and so far there looks to have been some excellent progress made so fair play to everyone!
I was thinking about the big flags which have been bought which will look great, but I also think we need to look into getting a load of wavy flags made up (which meet the safety criteria of course) to have within the stand for when players run out etc.
Would great mixed in with stuff like ticket tape/balloons and the like and doubt it would cost a lot to get a load made up. Could then have them available to be handed out of put on seats before the match for folk to use with a request for them to be left somewhere afterwards so they could be used more than once.
Might be with doing something like that rather than order more 'surfer' types?!?

Agreed. Was wondering whether it would be worth setting up another fundraising page purely for displays (smaller flags, balloons etc.)?

When I'm home (20 mins) I'll give you a good link. Been researching for a while a few options too!

Start with the sticks: www.ultrasshop.com/index.php?a=sklep&p=3171m x 16mm PVC. (I really can't see the club measuring the diameter of the sticks, if they're 1m they should be fine.) 50 for £12.17 Patterned flags: www.ultrasshop.com/index.php?a=sklep&k=41 (Option 4, blue, black and white. Most groups have these) 50cm x 50cm or 50cm x 75cm Vise versa. 50 for £17.74 One coloured flags: www.ultrasshop.com/index.php?a=sklep&k=42Would look really good if everyone had one pre-kick off along with a banner in front of us. Large flags: www.ultrasshop.com/index.php?a=sklep&k=39Printed www.ultrasshop.com/index.php?a=sklep&k=40Big stick: www.ultrasshop.com/index.php?a=sklep&p=293 ('4. Supporters wishing to introduce flags on poles longer than 1 metre must contact the Stadium
Operator in advance via email via safety.officers@ksdl.org.uk. Subject to advance agreement with
the Stadium Operator, such flags on poles may be waved prior to kick-off but must not obstruct
the views of others and under no circumstances are to be waved after kick-off.'Meaning that if we get permission we could these pre- kick off.)
The website also claims all flags are b1? fire retardant and come with a paper certificate. Delivery to UK is £10. They also do stuff for displays, megaphones, big flags and much more check them out!

Some great research Cole- looks like a good site.
Think we should look seriously into this idea, but we shouldn't do anything without confirmation from the club/safety teams that we'll be allowed to get them in. We don't want to splash out on 300 flags only for them to be turned away.

Also I think it would be good to contact the site and see if the fire certificate is valid in this country. Also they have a printed flag for £50 that would be perfect for the designs i did in another thread. If it doesn't get chosen I might buy it myself!

That Ultras shop is what I was looking at, decent prices to be fair and if we get some then it might encourage folk to buy/make their own stuff.
I've got a few ideas that I want to make up me sen before the start if the season if time allows.

Looks decent that Cole. What about a batch of blue flags, and a batch of white flags. That might look quite good? As for the flagpoles, don't be surprised to see them getting measured and removed if they are over sized. I'd get prior approval before ordering them, just to be on the safe side. Alternatively, I've found a plastics supplier that recommends a 6mm diameter pvc rod, which should sustain the weight of a smaller lightweight flag. They are 31 pence each I think, and would abide by the flags and banners policy.

If we could contact the clubs and see if we can do something like this.

When is the next meeting with the safety team?
Maybe you should get some samples of poles and flag material and size of what they say is and isn't allowed?
