Just thought i'd say what a great effort by everyone. At first I thought it would be tinpot and embarrassing but now after all the build up and everything im genuinely excited for the next season to see what it's like. Hopefully after the first season it's a success and then when we are playing premier league football in the 2015-16 season we have a full stand

Great post, thanks. Think the most positive thing for me is seeing people like yourself who admittedly weren't sure at first coming round to the idea. It shows we're doing something right if we're managing to change a few peoples minds!

Surely everyone involved with putting in all the man hours (assumedly free?)deserve a few beers from the kitty? Can we stretch to that? I'm assuming the guys getting there hands dirty are going out of hours to make this happen. Cheers to all involved! Can't make the Bournemouth game due to bereavement but reckon it'll be a cracker!

Nice thought but many people have donated their hard earned to the cause. We will pay for our own beers and hopefully revel in what we have created. That would be all the thanks we need!

Ive got to admit at times Ive wondered if it would work but the more I time I spend in the company of these lads I KNOW it will be. Some properly driven people and like already said people who initially dismissed/mocked the idea are coming over to our way of thinking. We all know the flaws of the stand but fuck it, We WILL have a good time in there regardless of the score...

I think the NSL shows what can be done at this club if you work hard. Quality effort by everyone.

I actually think the NSL could very well be the difference between staying up and going down next season. That's my genuine opinion. I don't buy into everything otium (EPBS) says but I think he's right when he says having a proper home end will gain you points over the course of a long season. I think it'll be the toughest season yet since our return to the second flight and it will be down to fine margins at the end of it. This project will tip the balance in our favour. I think this is the best thing to happen to our club since promotion and before that Deano taking over, just gutted I'm not closer to the action but every year that passes the closer I'm getting to coming back home.

We've put in some hours, but if it means that the rest of the stadium, regardless of where they sit, can support us for 90 minutes, once a fortnight, then that'll be all the recompense I'll need. This was todays NSL task, packaging up tee shirts. Kept myself, the wife and Bailey out of trouble all day.

Totally agree, a proper home end should be the law at every club. How did they get lost in time? If we can have a good time and make a differance then it's all been worth it. When you've served your sentance and return to the HUD, we will be in the south stand and rocking pipe dog.

I am onside Pipe, if you are going to be passionate about your club dont do it by halves. The Cowshed made me more of a Town fan than the team.....life-long friendships. When i said a good, strong and vociferous home end was worth 10 points season i genuinely believed it. I mentioned the case of Hammarby not having a home end in many years and this season they have, well they are second now and will go top with a draw with their game in hand. Never underestimate fan-power.

Never underestimate fan-power. I feel a Bob Marley quote coming on, 'one love, one heart, let's get together and feel alright'. Nothing more powerful than that, one spirit, one cause, one noise, sucking the ball into the opposition's net. 2004 in the Playoff Final I was in a little Irish coastal village pub in Kinsale, Ireland welling up on purveying the sea of blue and white. These thousands were my blood, the folk who'd stuck around, the folk who'd given more to my hometown club than I'll ever give. By the end of the match everyone in the place were willing Town over the line, not because they were scared of me but because passion is an extremely infectious commodity.

Nice thought but many people have donated their hard earned to the cause. We will pay for our own beers and hopefully revel in what we have created. That would be all the thanks we need! Fair enough. Have contributed myself and wouldn't object to the people that put the effort in having a pint at the next meeting maybe on us but I won't disagree with the sentiment. Genuinely would be gobsmacked if anyone objected and I didn't want to seem fanciful with other folks cash but genuinely appreciative of the hard work of the few for the greater good so THANKYOU anyways! Literally cannot wait to see the fruits of all your hard work for years to come. Also 3pipe couldn't have put it better. Well said! Oti as well I suppose :-o

As I said at the time, even if Otium was off by an order of magnitude and it was only worth one point, then it would still be worth the effort. It's pretty obvious that on those borderline final positions, one point can be critical (ask Reading, Doncaster and Birmingham).
Working on being there in October for sure.
