But nail isn't about the players it's about the fans making a noise no matter what the result

Very Loud, are we talking about the Bournemouth fans? I know you wern't given a lot to sing about, but i don't recall the noise you claim to have made.

As you said we didn't hve a lot to sing about, the Bournemouth fans did and they didn't sing like that last year when 5-1 down. We sang our hearts out and didn't expect it to be loud for everyone in the stadium but it was loud for those in the north stand. It was the first official game, let's give it time and a chance.

I can't fault the time, effort, commitment and purpose behind this. I just can't help being Skeptical as to whether it will have the desired effect. Its never going to be the Kop, or Roker Roar or even the old cowshed, but i hope it pans out for everyone behind it.

The south stand is the place we want in reality but we as fans have to show what we can do and prove that there's a demand for it behind the goal. Surely what ever we do it has to be an improvement on before? Crystal Palace started off in 2009 with a 1000 fans in a little corner behind the goal, 5 years on they are the new bench mark. We won't compete with Palaces achievements because they have 2 things we don't, bigger Fan base and premiere league status. If we can do our little bit for the future then I think we will go along way to improving the atmosphere and hopefully get the south stand as our home end with 4k fans singing their hearts out.

Ive never bought into fans been the 12th man. If you are better than your opposition, you will win even if it is behind closed doors. Ive been to the likes of Exeter and Brighton on midweek days in followings of 200, and seen us win. I really don't think fans affect the players as much as they think they do. But what it does offer is a suitable place for like minded supporters to get together.

Last sentence is key.
If the fans can come to the game & have a laugh, enjoy the day out, have a sing song along with like minded others then thatwhat it's all about. If it can inspire the team along the way then it's a bonus.

Whether the acoustics of that stand are good or not, surely having 1900 fans behind the goal rather than 300 is going to encourage a player in some way? I fail to believe that a player wouldn't notice the difference between playing towards an empty stand and playing towards one full of your own fans. If we can fill it, IMO the spectacle will be well worth it, even if you can't hear us.
