More than superlopez club cat knows more than superlopez If only it could talk. The club cat would be the ultimate source. Too busy at work to do any surveillance today, but next time Ill get there early and park next to the footbrige

First sensible thing you've said all season You have to be able to spot dodgy photos in my business. My sucess rate wouldn't be 85% if I couldn't. Superlopez......i hope you can't keep a straight face when you are posting this nonsense

Lennon has just announced he's had no contact with Palace regarding the managers job on MOTD2.. Not sure how much to read into it though.

I think it is great news Hello everyone. Lennon is just the right man to manage town at this time.

For footballing reasons, I would like to see him at Town...
However, he is a very high profile manager. If you presume that his wages and expectations are 'reasonable' (which may not be true - could be VERY expensive) - it is clear that he eventually wants to manage in the Premier League (don't they all!).
He has said that he would manage in the Championship...but I would read into this that he means someone who has the ability to bounce back immediately (Fulham - which could happen soon?) or a team who has built and are now ready - someone like Forest (well, not actually Forest...you know what I mean!).
I think Dean could get his fingers burnt with Lennon...
If we are doing poorly, or not progressing as fast as Lennon wants - he is likely to jump ship at the first opportunity...somewhere like Fulham or similar, WHEN it becomes available.
On the flip side, if he does get us playing well or contending - that's all well and good (in fact, that would be superb, obviously) - but again, off like a shot.
It's a bit like having a REALLY fit bird. You know that everytime you go out, everyone will stare at her. People will be talking to her everytime you go to the bar or have a piss. Eventually, there is always someone better looking than you, richer and with a better sense of humour than you. One time, you go for a 5 minute poo - come back...and she has gone!
May as well go out with someone who is a nice person. Someone who matches your profile - and will be there even if you took 10 minutes at the shitter.
Chris Powell would do that.

Yes you have it in a nutshell there. The only thing is that the other party doesn't pay you compensation if they steal your bird, whereas hiring Lennon might be a revenue earner.

Speak for yourself I get your point about Lennon but if he did come here and not pull up any trees I doubt other clubs would be rushing to nick him off us and if they do then we'll get some compo out of it. FWIW I'd be happy with either Lennon or Powell the others are much of a muchness for me. No Coyle or Mowbray please.

Yes, not only that, but I bet Chris would also have gone to the bar and got the drinks in whilst I was at the toilet. He would get the crisps (or other suitable bar snacks) in too - bet he'd look out for the 2 for 1 offers, so I didn't have to! (Ha!). Chris is thoughtful.

Lets hope Powell is as clued up on football management as he is on treating a lady and social etiquette, if he is, he'll be one top appointment.

In management terms, I reckon Owen Coyle would be the type of person who would book you in for a 'dirty weekend' away.....but without wanting to meet up first for a coffee and small talk. Horrible man.

I think one thing Lillis has proved is that we don't necessarily need a nasty, snarling manager to get the best out of this squad.

He talks a good game on MoTD. I agreed with him about Welbeck yesterday. In a nutshell that although he may not be as 'good' as RvP and Rooney, he has to play as he offers something different. Team first = players second. Been the wrong way round at Town for too long before Lillis.

Not sure how much to read into it though. and gossip wise, see that steve clarke is now linked to palance job, and he much more likely than lennon to get that job whether he is right for us or not, still a bit torn, but it would make sense that lennon has to start at a championship club and build a reputation so it may not be a dead possibility

I still just can't muster much enthusiasm for Lennon who in my eyes is completely unproven and had it very easy at Celtic. He also strikes me as a nutcase.

He came out of the town ground whiterose entrance and walked over the footbridge. I can not be any clearer than that. I saw him with my own 2 eyes.
