So being realistic and considering our budget, size of club who would you want? MM or CH. But like I say, out of towns budget so get Presley in and it's league 1 here we come, where we belong realistically unfortunately They may not be, I would think Hughton could well be in budget, whether he would come or not is another matter, not sure re Malky, but who knows.

Would be more than okay with any from Lennon, Mackay, or Hughton. But will not be at all shocked if the name we get does not stand out quite so much.

People complained that Robins over complicated things, at least Ince likes to keep it simple: I'm not sure whether the mention of Paul Ince is a wind-up, but if he is appointed as Town manager I'll be returning my season ticket, leaving the patrons and breaking all ties with Town. If he was a non league footballer and assaulted match officials he would have been banned from all football forever. There are some potential managers that I don't think are worth appointing - Billy Davis and Brian McDermott are two - but I think there's only Paul Ince that I feel that strongly about.

Serious question here. Does the acquisition of a new manager and his subsequent wages affect ffp? Just a thought going back to what dean Hoyle said the other night about getting behind the new manager. If ffp doesn't come into play with this maybe he's planning one last roll of the dice so to speak to bank roll a "big" management appointment.

Nothing to do with him being a shit manager with bad breath and a wonky eye then? Oh and the "I can't get a job in management because I am black" attitude.

"Welcome to your parody interview Mr Wince. My Name is Mr Farsley Terrier. You can call me Sir Terrier of Farsley. Please take a seat"
"whatcha Govnor ... I played for Manchester United you know mr Terrier?"
"Yes and so did our last manager.. strangely enough tho he never really mentioned it."
"well he wasn't black was he mr Farsley?"
"and how is that relevant Mr Wince?"
"It's about time I was your manager because i'm a black govnor and we never get a fair shot at football management, and as a bonus... Did you know I played for Manchester United?"
"I think you may have mentioned it Mr Wince."
"yeah and I talk a great game as well Mr Of"
"But Mr Wince, can you actually manage? You have an impressive playing CV, but frankly in management it's been a bit of a disaster"
"I can write the word Shoot on a piece of paper......"
silent pause....
"Mr Wince. Do you have what it takes to be manager of this fine club?"
"Where are we again Govnor? Oh yeah.. Of course. I have a degree in evasive answers. Ideal black football manager material. I'm good at fifa as well."
"Mr Wince. To get a job in management, first you have to be able to manage. Colour does not even come into it, although you keep reminding me of yours. Attitude however does. Being a good footballer (subjective) does not automatically entitle you to a swanky football managers job. In fact the good players make the worst managers. Maybe you should take up a new hobby?"
"It's cos of my wonky eye isn't it Mr Sir?"
sighs....
"no. you are just a shit manager. good day Mr Wince."

[/quote] I'm not quite sure what you're getting at here, couldn't care less about his eye, colour of his skin or bad breath (as long as I'm not stood in front of him ). His ability as a manager is open to debate, the same for any manager - personally I don't think he's that good - I just don't think he should ever be a managerial option because of his assault on match officials whilst at Blackpool.

Okay . Tell me what TOP manager will come in and not want his own backroom staff One that is out of work, wants to work, perhaps accepts the situation and the quality of the existing staff, and makes a decision that it would be workable. Are you saying that there has never been, never will be, ANY top manager, who would EVER accept a job without bringing a team with him? Sure, in general terms, it is what happens, but I think you are being a bit narrow in your thinking to look at it as if it an impossibility.

But having to accept other people's coaches does make it a harder sell.

Spot on if he thinks the current staff are fine he will go with it.

Do you think Lennon would attract more fans? I think if we got him and got a couple of decent wins and his exposure we would get a few more through stiles. and a few more games on TV - media will always ask him for his input on current events aswell.

Not sure about Lennon at all - he's a fiery charachter so hopefully would keep the players on their toes but how good is he at tactics/formations/subs etc -don't really follow the gane in scotland nowadays, but managing the big club in the SPL is a lot different than managing a curently stuggling team in championship where every last 1% of effort and tactical nous counts.

I stand to make a lot of money if it is Lennon.
However I will be gutted. I've heard bad things.
Powell for me (and I wouldn't make a penny on that)

we need a tall manager really. make him easier for superlopez to see from where he is.. McLeish fits the bill ..mackay would have been ideal..
golf is apparently its own 'religon'...
