Rumours that Reading have made a £1.25 mill bid for him, may explain why he wasn't involved yesterday. Thoughts?

Take it, same boat as Clayton, not signed a contract. Again we'd more than double our money.

For that price I'd bite their hand off plenty of cover in midfield.

Rumours that Reading have made a £1.25 mill bid for him, may explain why he wasn't involved yesterday. Thoughts? Raise it to 2-2.5m with sell on clauses, and appearances fees. Then take it. How many seasons are we going to give this lad, to allow him to be inconsistent? 3 months of the year he is awesome the rest he goes missing. He will be another player who will go onto do better things though, and probably blossom at another club.

He won't be here for much longer
Flog him and Scannell and sign some adequate defenders

Don't usually say this, but bite their hand off
year left on contract. would want a good sell on % though as could see him becoming a player they just got 4m for morrison so could be some truth...

He's one of those frustrating players that most clubs have. Everyone is on the edge of their seat as such, knowing they have the ability, potential yet consistently don't do enough to justify the buzz.
Let's not under rate Norwoods football ability, he has it in abundance, technically gifted, knowledge of the game is also good. But does he delivery it time and time again? No...
If told he can go, then I'm sure he will do well somewhere else for sure. But, I think he will always be the same player, patch form player.

Rumours that Reading have made a £1.25 mill bid for him, may explain why he wasn't involved yesterday. Thoughts? IF true then get rid. A new manager with lets say 2 mil to spend (Hoyle states money is there) on a couple of defenders and a target man would be ideal.

A poor mans Clayton, goes missing far too much, think he will struggle to get in the team.

the only proviso I have is that the money is spent on a defender and a striker. Where Norwood goes isn't of interest he will overplay and underachieve anywhere he goes, his ego is significantly larger than his talent and miles bigger than his attitude and application.

Got more potential than Clayton for me but he doesn't show it often enough for us. Whether that is down to a lack of aptitude or heart I don't know but I'd look to sell and see if we can get add-ons included.

Aren't there huge sell-on fees from United on him? Just get what we can and get rid.

If true, I'd sell him now. He's got 1 year left right? Just like Clayton then.. He's one of those that you'd expect to go ahead and fulfill his potential elsewhere whereas he was inconsistent with us. Sell him but as others have said put a sell-on clause in there, more money for new manager to play with and we're kinda covered for midfield anyway.

Mr Hoyle maybe using the money from the Clayton deal to fund our latest acquisitions. If we get new players they will be brought in by the new manager when we get one.

Agree with Walshy... If he gets the ball you know he can pick a man out from 40 yards or ping one in the top corner. But he will also misplace a pass from 10 yards and go missing for 3 weeks.
Anything over a million considering we have Butterfield in is a great deal. Could open up a space for one of the younger lads but I would be happy with a midfielder loaned in with experience.
Win win.
