I was there. I think it was my first ever away match, aged 9.

In the context of things, I think John Terry`s miss in the CL final has to be a worthy contender.

Talking of penalties, this was never a penalty! Diving cheating b*stard. Love the commentator.

You know in the mid 70s I was down at woodfield park and this guy came up to us as we were having a game of footy to tell us and show us that we were kicking the ball wrong ,anyway after working out he was not just trying to piss us off he told us his name was Alf Young and he played for Town and England ,nice guy overall ,previously he had gone bonkers when we played there so must have been the grounds man

beckham..sad to say it but it was a shocker.. I always hope that the smart arses that chip it, miss..
cant quite remember who it was but he really gave it some rice and it rebounded off the cross bar and bounced back near the centre circle.. that was quite humorous..

I was at Maine Road (Man City's old stadium for the younger element)in about 1965/66 when Tony Leighton did that. Town got a penalty up the other end for something when the ball was actually in Town's penalty area. (May have been a contretemps between Leighton and their keeper - Leighton was notorious for winding up opposing keepers ). He took the pen - hit the crossbar like an exocet missile and the ball ended up back in Town's half.
