that HTAFC is the place they should be: How does Dean do that?
Not a negative post by any means but on the face of it we are a relatively small club in this league, smallish crowds, probably going to be scrapping to stay in the league, ambitions no greater than wanting to stay in the league, not offering large wages, currently no manager etc.
Recent signings have been impressive, with most if not all of them saying "I spoke with the chairman and my mind was made up quickly to join" etc
Aside from the 'not standing in the way of a potential future transfer' and 'we have nice changing rooms' Dean must be a charming mofo to make us so appealing.
What does he do?

I agree with some of the points made above. I've been told that Blackburn, Bolton and Fulham were also in for Hudson..
For me, I think that guaranteed first team football must be a big factor for some of the signings. Hudson, for example, has been bench warming for Cardiff this season.
I think the general ethos of the club must be another factor. We seem to have a huge interest in developing young players from lower leagues and the academy. And as you mentioned, we don't stand in the way of their career if they do wish to move on.
In terms of wages, I can't get my head around this. I'm sure players must be offered much higher wages elsewhere, so I'm not sure how Deano does that bit! Or maybe footballers aren't all as bad as we think they are in terms of money grabbing?! A nice thought but there's probably more to it...

Looking at Hudson's twitter account, he does a lot of charity work. Our charity as community links could be attractive to some players I guess? But I think first team football is the biggest factor in coming to HTFC. Of course, having a passionate, life long fan of a chairman with high aspirations must come across well during negotiations.

Its not like we are convincing Ibrahimovic to sign. Most of the players we entice are lower-league or unwanted/released/not playing in their current team. It goes something like this..."Hello, Dean Hoyle here, you fancy playing football for us on 5k a week with a guaranteed 3 year contract totalling at least 750k even if you are crap/injured/dont play?" I have not heard of many players turning us down. Its Championship, good facilities, lower pressure, near 2 airports and not too far from Alderley Edge! OK, Johnnies has shut down but there are many tattooists and plenty Kurdish barbers for the quiff/beard trim.

Think some people have missed the point here with their smart arsed answers..
We all know that players such as Coady and Hudson were offered higher wages at bigger clubs. It was written on the official website! Deano is clearly doing something right in convincing such players to come and play for town!

I dont orofess to have read every article, but I've not seen it written they were offered higher wages, just that "bigger" clubs were interested. Perhaps WE are the ones offering the higher wages and longer contracts?

A nice thought but there's probably more to it... To get around FFP it's said that some clubs give their players unspecified bonuses, off the books. Now, I'm not one to start rumours, but I've got it on good authority that some of our players are given a lifetime supply of greeting cards to sweeten the deal. They're basically saving buying tens of cards every year.

If you are deemed important enough for the owner of the club to meet with you and share his vision it's a very powerful thing. This is not just an ego stroking exercise for the players, at a time when there's lots of bonkers owners of clubs meddling with the clubs future it must be comforting to here from the number 1 about his long term goals - Someone who is not going to be overruled by a superior.
Who wouldn't want to work for Deano after hearing him talk about his love for the club and the community? Especially if other club owners are too busy to speak to them? It must really show up the competition.

What does he do? Dean is a rare thing in football. He is a fan who loves the club he owns. Players will see that and know that every choice he makes is the for the good of the club just like you or i would do. They also know that if he is taking the time to meet them then he must really want them to play for HTAFC.

IMO its exactly what Hudson said, he felt wanted. For the chairman of the club to phone you up and talk to you while others leave it to the manager must be a good feeling. Everyone loves to be loved even Superlopez. How many people on here have spoke to Dean Hoyle, im sure most people who have think hes a decent guy and you can actually hold a conversation with him unlike some rich blokes who look down their nose and sneer at you, UTT

Dean Hoyle's major selling points Firsty He's English (I wonder how many of those foriegn owners would even bother talking to a prospective signing?)even better local and a true supporter and will obviously talk with real passion about the club The Stadium and its facilities The Training Facilities are Premiership standard Some lovely places to live on the outskirts of Hudds or convenient for Motorways if travelling in

I think the club would dispute that their ambition is no greater than staying in this league. Don't confuse trying to do things a different way with not trying at all....

All players will be aware buy now of what this club has done for the careers of:
Pilkington Peltier Rhodes Hunt Clayton Norwood et el.
If a player has the ability and the drive, Town will improve there prospects and help them achieve that dream move.
I think it sells it's self to be honest.
