But in all honesty, if you do want a slurp in Leeds, get down to the Golf bar just down the side of the Hilton just past the dark arches, good beer, good food, and a superb big screen for any early kick offs, and you don,t get any bertie big bollox in there before the game, nicely tucked out of the way...

Agree with that, been inGolfBar last couple of games over there, although can't make it this weekend due to attending something over in Warrington. If you go back to the main road from the Golf Bar, cross over, at the lights, you'll see a load of buses queued up down Sov Street which will take you straight to the ground. I dont know if theyre still doing it, but last season, if you presented your away ticket at the bar, you got a discount too.

The Peacock is a really good pint these days! It's now an Ossett Brewery foodie pub and they do excellent pre-match pie and peas. Go in there, merge into the background and enjoy!

Okay...being sensible for a minute, basically, avoid the pubs around the Railway Station, Park Row, Boar Lane and The Headrow and you'll get no hassle. Leeds Centre is literally a pub and bar haven these days and as long as you're sensible and respectful then it's fine, pretty much like the pubs in Huddersfield are for away fans in fact. The only time I've seen trouble at these games is when our fans have descended on a pub mob-handed, not caring what they say or how they behave, again just like over at our place. Have a great day everybody, I know I will!

Never had a problem in the city centre just avoid the Scarborough I suppose. Tend to stay up past The Headrow, Wetherspoons and the like up there.

Old peacock next to stadium you will need to show your match ticket to get in, home fans only, so if you are not wearing colours and have a ticket in the leeds end you will get in

If any town fans go in the peacock, I'd avoid wearing the yellow and red stripped Yorkshire air ambulance shirt, it will probably cause offence!

Be drinking down by the station in Spencers and Scabby Taps from about half nine. Good mob of about 400 of us from many of the villages. I have had a full body hair shave and I will be covering myself in baby oil so that the rozzers cant catch me. I have 4 kilos of coke and loads of speed im going to do the lot for breakfast .
Come on Town - we can do this ooooo Philly Starbuck.

if drinking from 10am means a problem, i guess me and the wife are f**ked, 7.30am trains from tamworth to huddersfield with 4 cans and a bottle of sidekick in hand, then maybe a top up at l**ds station, the joys of watching town!!

If drinking on the 7:30am train is bad, then I've got a real problem, as I've started drinking just now and theres more than 40 hours to go before kick off.

The hop, the midnight bell and the cross keys are good choices. Good beer, near the station and near to the busses to elland road.

Yeah, all good pubs, plus there's 3 or 4 down alleyways off Briggate. Always go round Leeds city centre before Town matches, loads of options & never seen a hint of any bother.
