Totally agree. I'd be horrified if it ended up with a foreign collector!

Would be a more worthwhile investment than a Lowry painting. I actually like Lowry paintings but surely the PFA or FA would be better off spending £100k on a English WC winners medal than millions on a painting (seemingly worth over £4.5m now) news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/545023.stm

Wonder if Mr Hoyle would be interested in bidding and then we could have it in the club somewhere? I know he wasn't at Town by '66 but he was a local and came back to live after his playing days were over.
