Yes/No/Possibly (delete as applicable) Like what you did Mids. The lad is very average. Interesting. Personally, I think he shows glimmers of talent and potential, but for whatever reason his career has floundered and he's often looked like a fish out of water. He disappoints me as I think he could, and maybe should, have done a lot better for himself, and HTFC. Also, how is someone 'very average'? If you're average you're average (by definition). A player can be 'very good' or 'very crap' as those descriptions are open to interpretation

Made his debut in a 3-0 home defeat to Swindon. Subbed after 70 minutes Not the best of starts It always seems to be a recurring theme with him, even if he plays well, he hasn't got the stamina to last 90mins, its a big problem really.

Was hoping he would do ok so maybe Chesterfield would sign him before he gets injured again. Nowhere near good enough for the Championship and won't make much of an impact in League 1 IMO. 3 years on good money for about 3 good games, belting signing from Clark !

And again we could have let him go at the end of his initial contract but 18 months ago he signed a new 2 year contract which was offered by Robins et al.

Met a few Chesterfield fans today who went last night, they really do not rate the lad. Apparently the midfield has been a shambles since he came into the team

I'm disappointed. Was hoping for a webcam in a cell in South Africa, featuring an amputee trying to reach the top bunk without prosthetic legs...Ironically, one has no ankles, the other has ankles made of glass...

Steady on - you will have the captain accusing of him of stealing a wage ? like scanz

Thats not good. Without knowing whats gone on, I think the only chance he has of making it at the level we're at is if hes got a really good attitude so he can scrape every last bit of ability out of himself. If he hasn't got that, he's just a League 2 player in waiting.

Is that necessarily the case? I saw a rumour on that facebook group that he'd been sent back for disciplinary issues, but as far as I can see he's still there.

Surprised the club aren't offering him a new five year contract for that assist yesterday! Was a lovely ball but still think Wells should have come on for Holt!

One assist and two goals in the three years he's been here, both goals coming in league 1,that's where he belongs I'm afraid if he can be arsed!

Can't believe he was on the bench - what does he offer that others don't? Perhaps CP has a sneaky regard for the lad and, contrary to general opinion on here, he isn't on his way after all?

There were plenty of things to aim your your vitriol at for yesterday, but Oscar isn't one Coady was far more disappointing IMO

I get the feeling after yesterday he will be involved in future games, ffs! He ll get a new contract at this rate!

Gobern would struggle to get into a pub team. I really am astounded that we paid money for him. Did we but him after watching a video? Southampton took us to the cleaners. I have only ever seen one video of him in action - although to be fair, he's bloody brilliant in it. I'd put that assist he got yesterday right up there with this karate kick as his carear highlights, there's only one oscar Gobern!
