Can anyone think of any other examples of where there has been such a difference between two performances in such a short space of time like..
bournemouth at home and forest at home (approx 10 weeks between them).

It feels like our history while I've been a Town fan has been littered with similar occurrences!

can think of one the other way round - reckon in the eighties at xmas/new year - we went to Blackburn and beat them 3-0/3-1 ? ending their 100 per cent home record and looked world beaters. a couple of days later went to Grimsby and got well and truly dicked 5-0/5-1. PS was coldest game ever at Grimsby

I can't think of a thread that was so close to being perfectly titled...

Yes Bournemouth at home to Reading away. Ridiculous to the sublime. Hail Lillis for turning Scannell around and getting Bunn in to the system because they were brilliant that night.

pop a decent centre forward into the mix, stop taking hours to get the ball to a wideman who can run with it and get the team to a man to 'grow a pair' and hey presto.. from complicated systems and passing/possesion for its own sake to a straightforward plan, that is hard to play against and easy for your own team to implement..
you take coaching badges because you have to, not for them to indoctrinate your future career as a coach.

Brilliant to dire......on 27.11.71, in the old Div. 1, we beat Cloughie's Derby County 2-1 at Leeds Road (they went on to become Champions).
We didn't win another game all season....4 years later, we were in Div. 4 (having won just 36 games in the intervening period).
With Town, NEVER count your chickens until they've hatched.............:-{

I think one of our centre halves, possibly Hanvey, picked up a booking at the Blackburn game and was suspended for Grimsby and Lillis played CH and was given the runaround by Kevin Drinkwell(?) but the whole team looked like they been on the lash to celebrate their great win at Rovers.

Blackadder, series 1 to 4. Dire to brilliant. That did take rather more than 10 weeks: Series 1 The Black Adder was truly creaky.

Blackadder, series 1 to 4. Dire to brilliant. The first series isn't great, not the same Edmund as appears in the other 3 series but your parameters should be 'series 1 to 2', the second series is excellent, as are the following two.

I wouldn't say brilliant yet, but Mark Hudson has done a very good Robert Page impression so far. Never have I seen one man transform a defence as much as Page did for us but so far Hudson has made a bloody good fist of it

Top signing.

Neil Parsley. remembering him signing ( from Leeds??) and looking like a hapless pub player. He really was shite. Then it was like he suddenly learned how to play football and think he even won POTS before leaving.

Looked bloody awful in his first few games until he watched Andy May in training and bingo !

Cannot imagine how this board might have read after the 10 -1 defeat at Man' City. I was there, and did not think anything could get any worse than that .

losing by 6 at Swindon in the pissing rain... losing 7-1 to Barnsley on tv.. losing 5-1 at port vale to go down.. losing 3-0 at old Trafford after falling apart towards the end.. 3-0 up at bury and hanging on for a draw, etc etc etc..
some results live long in the memory and they are not all complete arseholings..

You know I rather liked series 1. Yes, blackadder was sniveling but Percy was brilliantly pathetic and I enjoyed baldrick as the sharp one. Blessed was epic as Richard IV not to mention Peter Cook as Richard III.
