We're looking to promote future 'NSL' blocks as simply 'singing blocks' to try get as many people as possible together, also that way we can attract fans wherever they sit within the ground to be part of it.
Hopefully it'll work and we can encourage others to join us at home games as well.
I understand why you're thinking of doing that Pozza, but hopefully you'll decide against it,for the time being, anyway.
I think the NSL are doing really well considering the time you';ve been together.Getting about 800 together against Forest (don;t think the old singing section ever came close to that) and getting a block of 300 for away games,is pretty impressive after just a few months.
I know it's frustrating when others won;t join from other stands, but I think you're doing really well considering the short time you've been together.
& let's face it there are some who are never going to join, mainly because of the poor design of the stadium to begin with and saving money on that end & not having a roof to help.
But also a few have other reasons, let's leave it at that, to avoid any arguments, with these others.
Any true Town fan, can tell we are doing it for the good of the club, and to create a better fun atmosphere, for fans around the ground.
And when we used to call ourselves The Cowshed Boys at Leeds Road people in other stands didn't need us to change our name to want to join in if they wanted.
They realised what a great atmosphere we were creating and realised we were doing it for the good of the club and they just came along and helped us increase the volume or variety of songs if they wanted.
So I'd say just stick to what your doing.you've built it up really well given the short time involved, particularly when there is no roof to help at that end and sky have noticed cos they've given Scoffa Fan Of The Month.
So they've spotted it so that's pretty awesome so far given the crap end we are given.
Other True Town Fans if they want to sing a wider variety of songs and sing ones that are more fun and more likely to spread around the ground will also join us in future and won't care if we are called a different name.
They will realise that we are just called that because of the stand we are in,and we had to call ourselves something different to indicate we were a different section to the old singing section and with a different view how to do things,
and our numbers will build further over time as they'll realise we are just doing it for the good of everyone.
So great start so far,& for us to have beaten Forest and other club's fans to Fan Of The Month considering we don't have a roof to funnel our singing out from is pretty awesome.
I think if we continue to build, even if adding to our numbers at a slower rate for a while,if we continue building numbers and being the section seen to really be making the noise at away games too then I think there is a chance we may be able to persuade the stadium to help build a roof at that end,cos they
and the club will have noticed that Sky noticed and realise that is pretty impressive when there is no roof and temporary seating.
So there's a chance in time that we may get a roof and then a lot more will want to join then.
& also how are you going to explain to all the people that have bought NSL hats etc that they are no longer valid ?
