One of the main problems for encouraging more to join us in NSL is the lack of roof
although,I think,we've made a great start
so we can continue to build numbers in the FML and increase the repertoire of our songs, then when the time is right,we can either try to ask if we can have a roof built
or if can't do that
we can look at a plan of where there are still season tickets available to see winch is the most vacant area in one of the roofed stands
then we could ask the club to contact the few individuals in that area to ask if they would be prepared to move so as to leave a vacant area to move the NSL to
for the good of helping the club.

I've sat in there for 5 seasons and got slightly wet about 3 times cos the wind was blowing towards us. The roof is the same as the other stands but a bit higher. It's also the cheapest part of the ground

I'm amazed people still mention building a roof, look at the stand and imagine a roof just above the lower tier and under the boxes, it would look very strange. Its completely ridiculous for a stand to have 2 roofs hahah

Or maybe look up the next time you are in the FML Yeah as expected, that';s why i just post ideas and don;t bother to check what's said for ages,i expect abuse from anyone this site, anyway if you look you'll see the roof only covers the upper tier not the lower tier so there isn't roof there, idiot,to help funnel singing out which makes it sound louder out on the pitch and it can be heard more clearly from other stands, and if you didn't understand why i'd put post,it's called passion and trying to do your best for club and atmosphere like the old days before fans had a go at each other we support the same club ffs

We wouldn't be the NORTH Stand Loyal then. Of course we would. It;s just it'd give some folk less excuse to say it wasn't working,we couldn't be heard from the other stands etc.Got no prob with rain myself, remember when we sang "singing in the rain" at Bradford, when were celebrating promotion that was ace,and real fans raise their voices higher and have a laugh when it's raining anyway

We've got a long way to go before we start moving anywhere. Let's get established and see what happens. I genuinely meant it as an idea for future as I've said elsewhere with some other ideas.Just future planning that's all, like Scoffa hints at with a smile about maybe go for south stand one day. I've said it clearly in other posts that we only try to get these things when we've built enough numbers and showed real potential to club especially if they can see it may increase attendances if atmosphere improves enough, that, and only then is when we make the moves to try any of my ideas which i just put out there to help the cause give us future aims etc

Get a fold up pac a mac and shove it in a bag and get out there and have a good sing song - jobs a good un! It's other folk that mind the rain,I don't.I only was meaning to improve atmosphere, read my comment below about the fun we had when we sang at Bradford and that real fans sing louder when it's raining.Only meant it to help get more from other stands to join us cos they woyldn't have excuse then that we couldn't be heard or might get some in that are put off by a bit of rain, and i only meant ask about roof for FML if poss, realise it prob won't be,that's why i suggested trying to get in block in one of other stands one day and anything i said is just plans for the future, said lot elsewhere on other things that we have to impress club enough before we make some of these future moves

It looks ace in there. Maybe they need to rename it to the players that got sent out on loan but came back early bar tho, cos the only ones I seem to see in their are Duane Holmes and Oscar Gobern.

There is one massive problem with the NSL - you can't hear them in the other stands and also, I'd guess, on the pitch. I sit just beyond halfway in the Kilner and see you all jumping up and down chanting and clapping but it's like someone's hit the mute button. I've been in once myself and it seemed relatively noisy but, outside, not a thing.
I really admire what you have done in there - small acorns and all that - it takes visionaries and leaders to make something like this happen so good luck. Ultimately though, you need to move - if only to the top tier - otherwise you'll never make the difference your tremendous efforts deserve.

Couple of my mates who sit in the singing section next to the south stand beg to differ, they say they can hear the NSL.

Was talking to a bloke who sits on the half way line, back of the Kilner, on the train to Fulham last week, he says he can hear us too. Anyway, the point about the top tier is interesting, because the discussion then developed to comparing the north stand to the south stand, and we both agreed that the north stand overall is a much better stand than the south. I quite like being down low, close to the pitch, but if we can get all that end rocking, upstairs and downstairs, we will regularly outsing the away end. Something to aim for.

that lounge in the fml has had many uses, one season they ran a 100 club in there but only about 12 of us signed up...it was good though for pre match, half time and full time drinks...if town are stuck what to do with it they could do worse than make it an nsl members lounge, and if they ever build a proper fml maybe have an entrance from the back of the fml...be a great place for a gathering

Missed kick off. Not done "hospitality" since.

Also, on the noise travelling, the wife walked down Leeds road from town on the day of the forest game, to pick up the car which I'd left at canalside. She said she could hear the town fans from as far away as that.
