Thought he had a cracking game. Left back is a very important position when Powell sets us up 4-4-2 like today, as Butterfield doesn't stick to the left so it leaves us exposed down that side. Robinson was rock solid today, although I thought Watford missed a tricking by not overloading that side - would've thought they might have identified that before the match.

They do tend to do that at times but definitely 3 at the back. Actually today it was more 3-4-1-2 with Butterfield pushing on which was good to see. It is easier to see the lines of players from the side in all fairness.

defo changed during the game from 443 to 352(5-3-2) nice to see. Thought both Scanz and Robinson had great games even though its the pair of them that have to really deal with the change in formation

He's def won me over after a shaky start. Good to see him getting forward as he can put a decent cross in. Best LB we've had for a while (and I like Dixon)

It was fluid. We started with four at the back. Then it seemed to change with Robinson pushed further forward and three at the back. Robinson would slot back in when we lost the ball. Credit to Robinson for being able to boss the whole left flank.

Anyone know what the likelihood of us getting hold of him permanent is? I am a fan of Dixon but Robinson has been excellent of late. Seeing as it looks like Dixon is going are we getting Robinson long term or do we need to find another left back?

I am not up on the QPR lb department, but I would've thought nil chance if they come back down.

Credit where credit is due like everyone else played well today. And he should shoot more often with his right foot that would have been some goal had it gone in.

It was 3-5-2 as a starting point, but very fluid and we probably played three or four formations today. It's the players within the system that make it work though, not the other way around.

It looked like they doubled up defensively on Scannell after his strong runs in the first 15 mins, and that gave Robinson plenty of room on the other flank. He did really well when given the space though. His crosses were top notch all day.

Said it before, IMO he's not crap or average or even improving. He is just a bloody good left back who had a very good game AGAIN!!!

Yeah I wasnt sure about him at first but seems to be growing in confidence and getting better. Might well be a terrific player by the time we have to send him back.
Shame he's not our player.

The most telling question on Robinson is this: Name the last left-back we had who was/is better than him.
I think you have to go back a long, long time to get one as good. Think he's been a fantastic signing for us. Defensively one-on-one he's solid. Has good pace, great fitness levels. He is reasonable in possession and links very well going forward. Could make the step-up in time. Kind of want QPR to stay up to maximise our chance of keeping him.

I've liked this kid from the off. In my opinion he was our best player in his debut vs Watford when we got turned over, though many will disagree.
Always wonder how much of a say the player gets in deals like this. He's obviously enjoying his football and I don't see how he'd benefit from staying at QPR if they come down.

Anyone know the extent of his injury? What was up with him, is he likely to be back for Saturday?

Strange that hardly anything has been said re this only CP confirming he was taken off due to an injury.
Ah well we can look forward to Carroll or Edgar playing at that left back spot vs Hunt or Ward!

He's got no attacking ability but can run and tackle try him in a back 3 centre mid with Smith + Hudson until Lynch available, at least that gets the shitsters Wallace and Edgar out of the equation
