Big effort required this Saturday, scarves up, flags up, lots of energy and passion. We should all be fired up as it is but we need that extra bit to motivate the players for the 3 points.

Make sure everyone in the upper tier gets the stand rocking as well, potential to be a big atmosphere behind the goal.

but will we get more than the 18,309 we got last year ? A* pricing, outlying regions snowed up, 12:30 ko, and tbh the Leeds team doesn't have me salivating like it used to do when it had one of two okay players... Think we'll be lucky to get 20,000 again... but hopefully the fans will indeed make some noise for the terriers...it's got to happen some time...so why not on Saturday...

Thought I read somewhere that we have already sold more than our highest gate this season which was over 18,000

The biggest gate of the season is expected at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday for the West Yorkshire derby against Leeds United; 12.30pm kick-off.
Tickets sold for the game have already surpassed the 18,000 mark that watched Chris Powell’s first game in charge of the team against Middlesbrough back in September, with a good half of the week still to come.

Over 1000 sold for the NS aswell. If we have that many in the NS (many of them transfers) & supposedly 20k shifted all together I predict carnage tomorrow. That does not leave many spare places! Be good fun mind.

Aren't loads of 2 or 3 block's reserved for flags and stuff? The seats aren't reserved fr flags. IF required, the flags will be taken down. Fans come first.

Just wondering because they're all unavailable on the online ticket map thing It's still unreserved seating so the online seating plan isn't accurate. The ticket office just sells tickets from left to right. The flags will be placed at the far edges of the stand but if not enough seats are available for fans, they will be taken down. Shouldn't be a problem though, can't see it being a sell out in the NSL.

Even if we lose today lets give a good account of ourselves. Best opportunity to recruit more people. Fully expect a sore throat and aching arms but will be worth it!

Right this'll be my one and only post before logging off for a few days.
Just want to say that whilst their fans were very poor it was great in the NSL today. Gave a very good account of ourselves and outsung 4000 leeds fans who only started singing in the 89th minute.
Kudos to everyone involved, flags, banners, confetti etc looked great.

If the object of the NSL is to have a great craic with your mates its a great success. I'm afraid though that if its to add to the volume of the stadium it just doesn't... Hardly heard you all match.. Acoustics terrible... Oh for them fans to be in the Kilmer tif the object of the exercise is to add to the atmosphere

Object was to create a home end for like minded fans to group together and have a decent sing sosong, in that respect it's been a success. If other areas of the ground want to sit in silence that's up to them.

Oh for them fans to be in the Kilmer tif the object of the exercise is to add to the atmosphere I go to the football to enjoy myself, and support the team. You want me to entertain the fans elsewhere in the ground, pay me 20k a week and we can start talking. I NEVER heard the kilner, and barely heard the Leeds fans until they had the game won. The problem lies with those fans that don't contribute to the atmosphere, but expect it to be good regardless.

So if that's the object of the exercise its great its valid... But if an aim is to improve the volume levels then it just doesn't ... It's no slight on the NSL its just the acoustics.. I was in dg lower and could hear the kilner over you .. That's just the way it is In terms of fans contributing.. What a shame there were people there today against Leeds who a) never turn up other weeks or b) are never wanting to sing other weeks... Yet there they are singing loud and proud... I just don't get this West Yorkshire rivals bollox.. We should ALL be trying to make our stadium a cauldron week in week out.

Totally defeats the point. The intention is to provide some noise at the NSL end of the ground for the players to play toward.
