Someone's got to sit on the bench! We'll be registering Dyer as a forward again soon!! [br The lad deserves more game time in my opinion! He was on fire when we signed him. He must have been strutting around like he had balls like baked potatoes. We drained all that out of him and then told him he couldn't even run properly. I'd be pissed off if I were him.

Said at half time Lolley should have come on and swapped wings with Scanz. We were too one sided with only Scanz on the wing. As it turned out we would have gone down to 10 men for the last 4 mins. Wouldn't blame Joe if he wanted a move and wish him well at his new club.

As it turned out we would have gone down to 10 men for the last 4 mins. That's not true though is it. Changes you make in a game are going to change that game. Butterfly's wing theory and all that. We could have been up the other end of the pitch rather than losing Smith and conceding a goal.

I can't think who I would drop in order to put him in the starting lineup. Certainly not Scannell or Bunn. And I certainly wouldn't want him to permanently depart the club. I think a loan move to a league one club with a recall clause would be the ideal thing for both Lolley and Town. Quality league one game time and experience would be worthful.

It would be utter madness to sell Lolley - that would prove that management and Directors haven't a clue!

All a matter of opinion Solidsnake but Harry Bunn, for me, doesn't look anything like a championship player. Had a few good games months ago, was found out, and now looks totally out of his depth. Still young so hopefully will improve and adapt, but looks incredibly limited and one-paced to me. Hope I'm wrong, but has a hell of a way to go.

Click bait from the Examiner following overreaction (mainly from a certain non-league poster) on here. Read the article, not a semblence of fact in there.. 'might' 'could' 'may have', and my personal favourite 'is understood to'. Pure wank from Mel Booth, shameful hack. The guy is a twat of the highest order.. Useless journalist.

I can't think who I would drop in order to put him in the starting lineup. I don't think anyone is actually suggesting that though. What the fuss is about is that he can't do much getting only 5 minutes here and there. 98 minutes he came on yesterday. What folk are saying is give him his half hour/25 minutes and if he's doing the business then it's time to start thinking about a starting berth.

We drained all that out of him and then told him he couldn't even run properly. I'd be pissed off if I were him. The stresses of full-time football have been tough on the 21 year-old, who has suffered with shin splints – leading to a trip to Dublin to get to the bottom of the issue. “I’m trying to change the biomechanics of how I run. It’s quite difficult to do and people probably won’t notice, but I’m working on it step by step. If I practise enough, the change should come naturally. “My running style has put a lot of stress and pressure on my shins and I’m trying to distribute that evenly throughout my core and hips. It’s only really come to be an issue when I’ve stepped up to the Championship, because the training is quite demanding. Don't think it was Town that told him "he couldn't even run properly".

This sums up Powell for me. If you're not >6 foot and >12 stone then you're not playing. He thinks it is still 1990. This. You need to be tall, quick, old, or strong. No room for flair. I wouldn't have started Lolley - But I'd have had Bunn on from the start and wouldn't have had another centre half playing in midfield (4 centre halves marking 2 players). In yesterday's game, Edgar's legs had gone after 65/70 mins - Lolley should have come on and we should have taken the initiative. That's where Powell and I are different, I want to make things happen, take the initiative, take a gamble - it won't always work but at least I've given it a go, and you know fortune usually favours the brave. Powell would rather be cautious, sit deep, not press, hope we keep the shape and hope something happens from nothing, if not we get 1 point. I've not suggested he should be starting. But in his ridiculously short appearances he has done more than enough to be given 20/25/30 minutes at least. The fact we haven't done is frankly embarrassing, the whole way we've managed him since he arrived is embarrassing.

Would be an utter disgrace if they let him go.
We are crying out for players will talent, passion, desire and hunger. Whilst he might not be the finished article by any stretch, every time I have seen the lad, he demonstrate those qualities.
Think his last actual start might have been against Watford away last season, which he scored in. Correct me if Im wrong by all means.
CP's tactics are times are just drab and defensive - problem is, when you have a crap defence, its very hard to play that way.
Could have easily brought him on when Lynch went off, moved Edgar in to the back 4 and Lolly on to cause them problems against tired legs, instead we got Murray who looked like a rabbit in headlights...
Well done Chris!

Played cricket with him in the '80s and saw the big tub of lard about 2 years ago, first time for 30 years. I said hello and just in case he didn't recognise me gave him my name and he just ignored me. He was just plain ignorant.

Jesus wept - this better not be true. If it is, even I'm going to start wondering what is going on at Town! We don't seem able to get anyone in & whilst this is the case it's utter madness to let any more go. At this rate, we're going to struggle to fill the bench on Saturday.
If we replace him & he goes down to L1 then fair enough, but if he goes to another club in the Championship, Town are going to have to work miracles to explain that.

Still on ? Just out of interest where would you have started lolley yesterday and at the expense of who ? Edgar? You don't need a bloody midfielder sat in front of the back 4 against Leeds!!! Chelsea usually have two holding midfielders sat in front of the back four.

It would be a shame if we were to let him go before giving him a real chance, you just know if he goes to Peterborough they'll throw him straight in and he will be a revelation. Might free up a bit of cash to buy another journeyman clogger, sorry experienced championship player. Suprised he is not going to Rotherham .

If he does go somewhere else I hope he fucking tears it up big time.
He's looked bright every time I've seen him come on for us.

Personally I like the article, might be meant as a wake up call to Powell. What I can't comment on is how he performs in training. He hasn't had sufficient game time for anyone on this forum to determine how good he is. I like to think that if he were good enough he would get his place. Non of us are football managers or coaches, thankfully the ones at the club are. Don't get me wrong - in my mind I have this image that Lolley could be the messiah. The reality is he might just be a turd.

No point keeping him here if he isn't going to get any (or much) game time.. I'd not be averse to him going out on loan to get some minutes into him...and maybe Peterbro' would be a good place for him to go...they are massively better than we are at bringing talent on, and they would return him a better player for us in 2015/16. Would suite Dean too as it would take £12 15s 6d a week off the payroll.........
