t.co/QcxZPGOZdMWhat do people think? I don't agree with the quote about pyro not enhancing the atmosphere, Europe disproves that. I also think it's daft when some of our fans let off smoke bombs on the concourse at half time (away games). If you're going to do it, do it on the terrace where people can see! Also it usually results in the bar getting shut down which is a pain in the arse.

There is a complete ban in this country and I never ever see that changing. More chance of safe standing. Unfortunately they are classed as a firework and we are building a relationship of trust and honesty with the clubs safety team (mainly John Robinson), and with the law as it is we should stick to it. We don't want to break the trust we are developing. I fully support safe pyro, I see no reason for it not to be used. However as I've said, we cannot do it at home games especially. Difficult for town to police it with town fans away from home. At the Bolton game, 4 were let off that day and it does cause problems when they are let off in the concourse. Some were let off at Wigan in the concourse to. If a smoke bomb or flare was let off in the NSL, I would be straight over to the individual doing it and ask them not to. We (the fans) must take a zero tolerance stance on pyro in the NSL whilst the law is as it is. It's not worth the 3 year ban.

Ben is a safe terrace , if you have read the article why can't you accept the dangers ? I ve thought for a while there was a conflict in your views , and I'm trying to be respectful here , you re views on pyro and also feelings for Bradford 56 don't seem to sit well side by side

For me criminalising pyro takes it out of the authorities hands and makes it more dangerous as people are sneaking it in unsafe areas such as the concourse and doing it in an uncontrolled environment. Also linking pyro to the Bradford disaster is like linking standing to Hillsborough, the argument just doesn't work. Edit: just want to clarify I don't advocate pyro at our ground because as Ben says that'll be the end of the NSL.

Don't start dragging up that with this. I won't have you put the two together. Secondly, where did I say safe terrace? I said safe pyro and safe standing in a terrace. Thirdly, I wasn't 'mocking' fuck all. No pyro, no party is a well used line. Your hanging on it way to much and if you're looking fr some sort of apology for Bolton you're wasting you time. Especially since I didn't let the smoke bombs off. I don't have conflicting views, I've made them crystal clear. How you can drag up the Bradford city fire is a complete joke.

I think it looks sh*t, don't really think it does anything other then cause a bad smell. Yes, it looks shit when a group of teenagers set off a few smoke bombs while singing 'let's go fucking mental'. However...

I think pyro definitely adds to the atmosphere. Would love to see safe pyro like some Scandinavian countries. However, not worth it at home games for legal reasons and the archaic regulations push people to let them off in stupid place like the concourse

Won't ever happening in the UK, so all views are somewhat moot. Nothing to stop you jumping on a plane and seeing those displays first hand though! Look awesome don't they? Cheap tickets too. Just the small matter of convincing the missus to stay in the hotel whilst you just 'pop to the shops'

There is no chance of it happening in grounds in this country without people getting life time bans and possible imprisonment. I do like the look of them though and think letting a few off at a night match a few times a season outside the stadium fence between the kilner and south stand by trusted NSL people would enhance the atmosphere.

We need to pull of what ajax do and have a pre-match sing away from the ground with pyro, drums, flag and get people fired up for the game.
