i feel we need to bring another winger in to play opposite to Scannell as i think we are a one sided team and only run down the side Scannell is playing, this makes it easier for opposition to defend the ball as they know where it will be going.
bring back Hammill! last season Hammill and Scannell together we were a strong team i highly rated Hammill and Scannell and still do now even though he's out on loan. it will also release some pressure on Scannell
Bring Hammill back!

Yeah....just what we want! Lollipop, lollipop, lollipop fancy flick to nobody then stand and go to sleep whist the opposition counter. Gone to a team in a very real relegation battle......and is a sub! Nuff said....had lots of chances here but failed to take them....bye!

Hammill - a wife cheating piss head better off without. Ward - Hahahahaha brilliant, quality player? Have a day off. Arfield - Always thought he was a decent player but didn't work out for him here.

Still not convinced by Scannell.
His end product is still woeful. Time and time again we break into the box and he doesn't deliver the ball that we need.

He has talent but doesn't use it often enough - he can't get in the Rotherham team ffs, and let's not kid ourselves played last season late on because robins liked him and wouldnt use scannell - his contribution after injury was negligible. Powell clearly doesn't rate him and his two games I have seen this season (Bournemouth and reading) we'd have been better with a cardboard cut out. Add to that rumours of off field issues and no thanks - all the best Adam, but bye bye and good luck.

can see him ending up on loan at scunny with robins next year, knowing us with him still having another year left on his contract then we will struggle to offload him on a permanent basis. Wouldnt be a bad fit for the lad, as robins knows how to get the best out of him, proved at Barnsley and us last year

We've had this debate before and its clear you're not a fan, but just a reminder that from his unfamiliar role of wing back last season he was top assister, scored five goals, was the Media Player of the Year & runner up in the Fans Player of the Year. When he was loaned out to Rotherham, Powell said it was because he wanted to play on the right but with the form of Scannell he couldn't be guaranteed any game time. He still has another year on his contract so we might just see him back here again.

Tbf ward is that good he managed to miraculously get a couple of assists in a game against wolves that they lost 5-0!

I thought he did well in the wing back role for a while. I don't know his situation but if he's in recovery we could have a different player on our hands after a pre season...

Good call. We certainly didn't play with a left-winger at Charlton, where Bunn didn't seem quite to understand his role. He was, as my son described him, "like a dog chasing a ball". He seems never to have the ball under control, as it is too far away from his feet. Or, should I say foot, as he is FAR too right-footed so he can't even dribble using both feet. (Aren't such skills taught these days?) Incidentally, Bunn lost every 50/50 challenge with the opposition. As with the match at Fulham, after 10 minutes (in which he did some decent edefending)he did nothing to contribute to the team.
I'm not quite sure about your point about Bournemouth, where Ritchie and, to a lesser degree, Pugh, act as wingers.

Just shows how thickle we all are and how dependant on the score our view of the performance can be. V Reading Harry Bunn chases lots of lost causes and closes the opposition down, has freedom in a role behind the strikers and wide when he likes, described as hardworking, creative, setting the tempo for town and MOM. V Charlton his work rate turns into "a dog chasing a ball" and has no skills.

To be fair, when we do attack and he puts the ball in the box there only tends to be Vaughan and Wells in the box, the midfield don't support the attack enough, so when does put the ball in he's nothing to aim for.

when he gets the chance to play he is quality but powell didnt give him his chance when he recovered from his injury or before! Funnily enough Hammill hasn't been the same player since we lost to Powell's Charlton last season in the FA cup.. He nearly had his leg broken in a shocker tackle & their lad didn't even get booked! I don't know if it's part of our FA cup jinx but the other shocker ref decision that stands out for me was when Wijnhard gave a Wimbledon player a piggy back for atleased 5 yards in the box before going over in the last minute & Geoff Winter deciding that it was a perfectly acceptable challenge! We went on to lose in extra time! Typical!

Hamill/scannel or bunn.. makes little difference.. we give them the ball and then stand back and see how far they get on their jack jones..
bit of support for them might help occasionally..
all 3 have been known to overdo it a bit but its probably a bit soul destroying to run with it and avoid a couple of challenges to find one blue/white shirt in or near the box surrounded by opponents..
